This individual will operate with an enterprise mindset, shaping integrated, end-to-end client and product solutions.  Join us if making your mark in an ever-changing, increasingly complex and competitive industry is a challenge you are up for.

Why this role is important to us:

State Street is committed to delivering differentiated, holistic client solutions that integrate seamlessly across Front, Middle, and Back Office capabilities.

This role is pivotal in defining and evolving our Middle Office product suite, including Cash, Transaction Management, Derivatives, Complex Instruments, Account Services, Investment Accounting, Collateral, and Financial Reconciliation, ensuring these capabilities are delivered as fully integrated, firm-wide solutions.

A critical component of this role is establishing scalable integration patterns with Front Office platforms and aligning operating models across product, technology, and operations to support consistent client delivery. The successful candidate will also embed AI-driven innovation, enterprise data capabilities, and agile delivery models to accelerate time-to-market and enhance client outcomes.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Product Strategy: Drive the development of client-centric, front-to-back product solutions that operate cohesively across Front Office platforms and Middle / Back Office services and systems.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC): Implement a disciplined, modern PDLC framework, covering ideation, prioritization, build, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Innovation: Generate innovative product ideas and concepts that address key market opportunities and challenges.
  • Product Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and user experiences.
  • AI and Innovation Enablement: Embed AI and advanced analytics into products and processes to enhance automation, decisioning, and client experience.
  • Agile Delivery: Lead adoption of agile ways of working, ensuring cross-functional teams deliver iteratively with clear accountability, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Prototyping: Develop and test prototypes to validate product concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders.
  • Product Roadmap: Create and manage a product roadmap that outlines the development and launch timeline for new features and enhancements.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, sales teams, and technology partners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from development to deployment.

What we value:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and develop long-term product strategies.
  • Innovation: Passion for creating innovative, valuable and disruptive products.
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional value.
  • Communication: Outstanding presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship-building skills with clients and across all levels of management. A detail-oriented disposition and clear, concise communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Global Delivery, Technology and Front, Middle and Back Office products to provide a full end to end solution.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of financial services products and technologies.
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the Middle Office for large financial service firms.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex financial products.
