About this job

About the Role

Join a small, early-stage team building AI-powered recruiting technology. As a mid-level Product Engineer, you will work across the stack with product and design to create reliable, user-focused features and help shape the product as the company grows.

What You'll Do

  • Own product features from scoping and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.

  • Design APIs and data models, and build frontend and backend components.

  • Develop user-facing experiences and improve them using customer feedback and product metrics.

  • Integrate AI and LLM services into product workflows with a focus on dependable user outcomes.

  • Build backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling, including testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.

  • Partner with product and design on priorities, success measures, architecture, and roadmap decisions.

  • Make pragmatic technical tradeoffs while contributing across frontend, backend, and infrastructure work.

What We're Looking For

  • Two to eight years of software engineering experience, including work at a startup or early-stage product company and delivery of shipped user-facing products.

  • Production full-stack experience with TypeScript and React or Next.js, plus backend development in Python or Node.js.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS or GCP.

  • Practical experience integrating AI or LLM services into production applications, rather than research-only work.

  • Strong product judgment and experience owning work in a small team with ambiguity and limited process.

  • Experience with multi-tenant, enterprise-ready, real-time, or high-throughput systems is beneficial.

  • Background in regulated industries or complex internal tools is also helpful.
