Job Summary

Job Summary

Join the Palo Alto Networks Data Security team as a Senior Product Manager to spearhead data security for AI traffic, partnering closely with the Prisma AIRS team to build the AI runtime security platform. In this highly technical, hands-on role, you will define and own the data classification and protection engine for modern AI applications, ensuring enterprises can govern sensitive data across prompts, responses, and agent tool calls. You will drive product strategy by identifying security gaps, prioritizing features, and collaborating with engineering to turn insights into actionable specifications. Shape the future of AI data security by engaging directly with design partners and customers to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own data security for AI traffic, including detection coverage, accuracy, and integration with Prisma AIRS.

  • Ensure high detection quality for AI content types like prompts, responses, retrieved context, and tool calls.

  • Prioritize features and make trade-off decisions balancing detection coverage, false positives, and latency budgets.

  • Drive market analysis, requirements development, business cases, product strategy, and positioning.

  • Engage customers for executive briefings, product evangelism, and gathering technical requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively across the organization, partnering deeply with engineering, sales, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related engineering/technical degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in highly technical roles in product management, development, or enterprise services.

  • Strong domain expertise in data security, including DLP, data classification, DSPM, CASB, or data governance.

  • Working knowledge of modern AI application architectures, LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, and agent frameworks.

  • Familiarity with the AI security threat landscape and frameworks like OWASP for LLM, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF.

  • Experience partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver shared customer outcomes.

  • Ability to quantitatively evaluate detection systems, balancing false positive costs with latency budgets.

  • Demonstrable track record of success with a strong desire to own the full product lifecycle.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and a hands-on approach to new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with enterprise compliance drivers for data handling such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and emerging AI regulations.
