Our Values and Leadership Behaviors

We are hiring an Accounting Manager, Inventory to own the accuracy, integrity, and control of eCO ATM’s device inventory across the kiosk network, processing/refurbishment centers, in-transit shipments, and third-party warehouse locations. This is an Individual Contributor Role reporting to the Director, Accounting.  This role owns the end-to-end inventory accounting and operational control process, inclusive of inventory valuation, the physical and cycle count program, shrinkage and variance analysis, and reconciliation of the general ledger to physical and system inventory records.  In this role you will partner closely with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Loss Prevention to safeguard company assets. The Accounting Manager, Inventory will lead and develop inventory accounting staff and drive process and system improvements across the inventory lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end inventory management and control for eCO ATM’s device inventory across kiosks, processing/refurbishment centers, in-transit shipments, and third-party/consignment warehouse locations (device/recommerce inventory, not manufacturing or raw materials inventory)
    • This includes inventory purchased through the kiosk network, inventory in transit between kiosks and processing centers, and inventory held for resale through wholesale and recommerce channels.
  • Direct the company’s physical and cycle count program, including scheduling, coordinating count teams across kiosk and warehouse locations, and reconciling count results to the general ledger and sub-ledger inventory systems
  • Analyze inventory shrinkage, variances, and aging; identify root causes and partner with Operations and Loss Prevention on corrective action plans and process controls
  • Review and approve monthly inventory journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory reserves (e.g. excess and obsolete, lower of cost or net realizable value) in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 330)
  • Partner with FP&A and Supply Chain on inventory forecasting, standard costing, and margin/COGS analysis
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to inventory, including preparing supporting schedules and walkthroughs of controls
  • Design, document, and maintain inventory-related SOX/internal controls; identify and remediate control gaps
  • Own and improve inventory systems and processes (e.g. Oracle ERP inventory module), including data integrity, reporting, and integration with kiosk and operations systems
  • Manage, mentor, and develop inventory accounting staff (e.g. Senior/Staff Accountants supporting inventory)
  • Support software and cross-functional project initiatives affecting inventory (requirements gathering, UAT, process design)
  • Build and present inventory KPIs, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to Accounting and Operations leadership
  • Maintain process documentation and drive automation and efficiency improvements across the inventory close and count cycle

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/inventory experience required, including experience overseeing physical inventory counts and reconciliations; 1-2 years with an audit firm preferred
  • Prior people management or team lead experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, including inventory accounting (ASC 330)
  • Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
  • Experience in retail, reverse logistics, recommerce, or consumer electronics inventory environments preferred (non-manufacturing)
  • Strong accounting, reconciliation, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate operational inventory data into financial results
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ideal candidate has experience researching and documenting technical accounting guidance for complex or evolving inventory transactions (e.g. offsite/consignment inventory, new buyback and revenue programs)
