About this job

The Automotive Business Solutions Lead brings deep automotive industry and operating knowledge to the development, adoption and scaling of business solutions. The role translates dealer, partner and segment needs into practical business requirements, supports consistent solution positioning, and coordinates adoption and vendor follow-through for assigned initiatives. It strengthens continuity of business expertise within Executive Strategy & Innovation and helps build a repeatable approach to scaling solutions across business lines.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Serve as the business expert on client economics, F&I operations, workflows, and partner decision-making.
  • Translate market needs into clear business requirements and fit assessments.
  • Validate use cases, challenge assumptions, and help prioritize product roadmap initiatives.
  • Lead onboarding, workflow testing, access readiness, and adoption support for new launches.
  • Gather feedback, identify adoption barriers, and coordinate issue resolution during launch periods.
  • Create guidance materials and transition ongoing ownership to business stakeholders.
  • Enable account teams with solution details, FAQs, messaging, and sales/discussion resources.
  • Partner with Marketing, business leaders, and vendors to support execution and communications.
  • Consolidate workflow feedback, address business objections, and assess release readiness.
  • Evaluate scope, timelines, costs, and business impacts, recommending next steps for leaders.
  • Apply market, competitor, and industry insights to identify growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Provide reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations while continuously improving future launches and business-fit evaluations.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 8+ years of hands-on industry operating experience as a dealer general manager, F&I director, OEM or commercial-equipment field leader, or in F&I administrator operations.
  • Deep automotive industry and business knowledge is essential and the first selection priority, including credibility in client economics, operating workflows and dealer or partner decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operating experience.
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to translate industry insight into practical business requirements and recommendations.
  • Skilled in constructive challenge, cross-functional influence and clear communication without formal authority.
  • Able to assess workflow fit, understand adoption barriers and coordinate vendor follow-through.
  • Business fluency in AI-enabled solutions is required; technical development expertise is not.
  • Ability to undertake regular client and dealer travel.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • A proven record of solution adoption and scaling is preferred, secondary to deep industry knowledge; solution-specific practices can be developed through training.
