Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical discovery workshops across health-system stakeholders to map pharmacy workflows, document clinical logic, and define key performance indicators across five prioritized analytics horizons: Outpatient infusion margin optimization and cross-setting care navigation Clinical quality, safety, and antimicrobial stewardship Procurement, 503B aggregation, and supply chain optimization Labor productivity, chair capacity, and accurate unit of service frameworks Controlled substance diversion surveillance and compliance auditing
  • Develop detailed functional use-case specifications that connect clinical intent, operational performance, and financial realization.
  • Differentiate standard business intelligence requirements from predictive AI and advanced modeling needs.
  • Apply prioritization scoring criteria to evaluate use cases based on financial ROI, clinical safety impact, regulatory compliance weight, and technical data feasibility.
  • Map and trace transactional data lineage across a complex, multi-vendor enterprise ecosystem to support the design of a robust Master Drug Index using NDCs and RxNorm CUIs.
  • Analyze and document data structures across Epic EHR and scheduling systems, including Willow, Beacon, Cadence, Clarity, Caboodle, and Epic Inpatient MAR.
  • Reconcile transactional outputs from pharmacy automation and compounding platforms, including DoseEdge IV workflow systems and Omnicell / BD Pyxis Knowledge Portals.
  • Define data requirements for safety, surveillance, and risk platforms, including ControlCheck, Origami Risk SEMS, and native Epic Willow tools.
  • Track and audit data structures across retail pharmacy, 340B, cost-accounting, procurement, and supply channels, including EnterpriseRx, Sentry Data Systems, StrataJazz, Civica Dashboards, Cencora ABC Order, Cardinal Health Specialty, QuVa Pharma BrightStream, and OurPharma.
  • Partner with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to create high-fidelity feature stores for models such as care-setting routing, stockout forecasting, and diversion anomaly detection.
  • Formulate a standardized data validation framework and automated reconciliation approach to ensure platform metrics align with audited general ledger entries and cash collections.
  • Support security and governance policies within Databricks Unity Catalog, including row-level facility filters and column-level dynamic masking rules to help protect patient PHI and proprietary vendor discount information.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD, or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, RPh, from an accredited university.
  • Active, unrestricted license from a State Board of Pharmacy.
  • 8+ years of clinical experience in a high-volume inpatient hospital, multi-site outpatient infusion center, or specialized healthcare consulting environment.
  • 5+ years of healthcare informatics experience with a focus on EHR data analytics and pharmacy systems orchestration.
  • Functional working knowledge of Epic Willow, Inpatient and/or Ambulatory, and Epic Beacon.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Epic Cadence Scheduler slot template operations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data vocabulary and terminology standards, including 10/11-digit NDCs, HCPCS J-Codes, RxNorm Concept CUIs, ICD-10, and LOINC codes.
  • Ability to translate complex pharmacy operations, clinical workflows, and revenue-cycle requirements into clear technical requirements for analytics and engineering teams.
  • Experience working with fragmented, multi-system healthcare data and supporting entity resolution, audit logic, data lineage, and data validation activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct implementation experience with at least three of the following systems: DoseEdge, Sentry 340B, StrataJazz, ControlCheck, EnterpriseRx, Meperia SCM, or UKG/Kronos Healthcare.
  • Intermediate ability to write or read structured SQL queries to independently explore relational database schemas.
  • Familiarity with cloud data lakehouse concepts, including Databricks Medallion pipelines, Delta Lake tables, or Unity Catalog controls.
  • Experience collaborating with data platform, analytics engineering, machine learning, clinical operations, pharmacy, finance, compliance, and revenue-cycle teams.
