About this job
About the role:
The Amazon Devices research team seeks a strategic and passionate Consumer Insights Manager to manage the day-to-day operations for a multi-marketplace tracking research program. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the program runs on time, within budget, and at the right quality bar. You’ll also partner with marketers, strategists, and builders to translate research questions into actionable insights. You will work on overlapping initiatives, so skill in project management is essential.
About You:
You have a deep understanding of traditional market research methods and best practices, as well as a passion for tracking and brand research. Where some see tracking studies as repetitive, you see an ongoing challenge to unlock hidden insights from patterns in the data. You work quickly and lead with an operational mindset. You get satisfaction from making the complex look simple. You seek efficiencies through continuous improvement. You leverage AI to assist in your work and you're interested in pushing the boundaries of agile research. You actively collaborate with your peers to elevate research standards, and you are energized by a relentless determination to do what is right for your customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations for a multi-marketplace tracking research program, including but not limited to partner and agency management, ensuring key milestones are met on time, managing ad-hoc requests, quality control, inputting into ongoing rhythm of the business forums, and overall program advocacy.
- Partner with internal partners globally to identify category and brand health shifts and identify the right research opportunities to dive deeper into the insights. Connect the “what,” with the “so what,” and “now what” using your own research and other data sources.
- Build scalable and nimble market research solutions, tools, and processes and leverage AI to democratize and socialize tracking insights. Actively publish insights and represent the data/program in regular rhythm of the business forums.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to audiences at varying levels of the organization. Drive impact to the business and customer experience, as measured by adoption of research findings.
A day in the life
Our team moves fast and iterates often, and you will too on one of our largest research programs. You’ll partner with Marketers and Brand Strategists to develop a holistic and comprehensive understanding of our brands and the categories we participate in. You’ll partner with builders to help them understand what they build influences how our brands are perceived. You’ll need to switch between thinking strategically and acting tactically (e.g., thinking through how to get the right data for a novel problem in the morning and writing a brand health update in the afternoon). As a trusted partner, you’ll be expected to help identify the right solution, even if it’s not research.
About the team
We design and execute primary research to inform new solutions, measure brand health and customer satisfaction, and we dive deep with our partners to improve the customer experience of our devices and services. We’re also builders, which means we’re actively using various tools – including AI – to make research scalable and efficient. Our team consists of Designers, Researchers, and Technologists who can envision, create, and execute ideas from start to finish. We maintain a collaborative culture grounded in respect and empathy for our peers and partners.

- Strong project and vendor management skills
