Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Databricks is looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to turn the experiences of our largest strategic customers into compelling stories and advocacy programs that advance Databricks’ business priorities. This role owns customer marketing programs from strategy through execution, delivering trusted customer experiences and measurable impact across content, events, and advocacy.

The impact you will have:

  • Create stories tied to key priorities. Identify and develop customer stories that support Databricks priorities, translating technical use cases into compelling narratives with clear business outcomes. Increase the influence of customer stories demonstrated through usage across events, campaigns, and field programs
  • Build with strategic customers. Build relationships with customers and account teams to uncover opportunities for case studies, videos, speaking engagements, and other advocacy activities with our most strategic customers in the Americas. Expand strategic customer advocacy in the Americas, resulting in a stronger and more consistent pipeline of approved case studies, videos, speaking engagements, and other advocacy assets.
  • Deliver a great customer experience. Improve the customer participation experience, reflected in strong completion rates, positive feedback, and repeat engagement from participating customers.
  • Own programs end-to-end. Deliver programs on schedule, within approved resources, and with clear stakeholder and customer approval milestones from strategy through launch.
  • Bring customer stories to life at key events. Increase the reach and effectiveness of customer storytelling at key events through activations that drive attendee engagement and reinforce Databricks’ business priorities.
  • Build and automate with AI. Improve the speed, quality, and scale of story development by deploying AI-powered tools and workflows that reduce manual effort and surface actionable customer insights.
  • Build repeatable processes. Enable customer marketing to scale through repeatable templates, processes, and workflows that improve consistency, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Track metrics and impact. Improve program decision-making and performance by connecting customer advocacy activity to content usage, GEO optimization, event engagement, and other agreed business measures, then using those insights to improve results.

What we look for:

  • 4–7 years of experience in customer marketing, customer advocacy, content marketing, or a closely related function supporting enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated success independently managing customer marketing or advocacy programs from strategy through execution and delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and interviewing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical use cases into compelling business-value narratives.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with large enterprise customers and navigating multiple accounts, legal, communications, and executive stakeholders.
  • A customer-first approach demonstrated through clear communication, thoughtful preparation, and the ability to create a positive, low-friction participation experience.
  • Strong program management, prioritization, and judgment skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, approvals, and competing priorities.
  • Practical experience building or automating AI-enabled tools and workflows that improve efficiency, quality, or insight generation.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and work effectively with key stakeholders across industry marketing, product marketing, field marketing, account teams, and other partner organizations; set clear expectations, communicate program performance, and push back thoughtfully when needed.
