About this job

Location: Remote (United States), NY metro preferred; requires ability to work east coast hours

About Consumer Edge

Consumer Edge is redefining consumer and healthcare data analytics for the world’s leading investment firms and global brands. We deliver privacy-compliant, real-time intelligence on consumer spending across markets, helping clients make faster, smarter decisions with confidence. Our merchant-level benchmarks and differentiated datasets provide a true edge.

About the role

We’re hiring a Director, Measurement & Attribution to be the senior measurement leader for our media business. You will own how we measure the sales impact of campaigns, using closed-loop attribution on card, bank or SKU-level transaction data. You will build our incrementality measurement methodology and set the standards brands and agencies trust. You will work closely with the Director, Audience Solutions and Activation, so that campaign results feed back into better audiences.

What you’ll do

  • Own sales measurement. Own closed-loop sales attribution and sales lift measurement on card, bank or SKU-level transaction data, and improve its coverage, rigor and speed of delivery. Define the offering: sales attribution, new-to-brand, and reach and frequency.
  • Build incrementality measurement. Design and launch incremental sales lift measurement with clear confidence standards, and quantify campaign impact across digital, CTV, social, retail media and other channels, including purchases that happen outside the platform where the ad ran.
  • Productize client reporting. Turn campaign results into a standard set of client deliverables, from post-campaign reports to benchmarks that show how CE audiences stack up against alternatives. Build templates and norms that hold up as campaign volume grows, so every client gets the same quality of answer.
  • Be our senior measurement voice with clients. Present results to CPG, agency and retailer leaders and turn findings into actionable recommendations on audience selection, media allocation, channel mix, campaign frequency and future test design. Set realistic expectations, run feasibility reviews before we commit, and flag setup gaps early so we never over-promise. Support pitches, proposals and proof points that help win new business and grow client relationships.
  • Set the standard and own the roadmap. Set the measurement standards brands and agencies trust, define requirements for privacy-safe exposure-to-purchase matching, and prioritize new methodologies and client-ready offerings.
  • Build with Product and Engineering. Work with Product and Engineering, and with partners and platforms (for example DSPs, clean rooms and retailers), to turn exposure data into a repeatable, automated measurement pipeline.
  • Lead and develop the team. Partner with and develop a senior data analyst as the key analyst on the measurement team, and grow the team as the business scales.
  • Automate for scale. Use AI to automate routine analysis, QA and reporting so measurement delivery stays fast as campaign volume grows.

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years in advertising measurement and analytics, including experience in retail media, commerce media or purchase-based measurement
  • Experience developing and commercializing measurement solutions that demonstrate advertising effectiveness and support client acquisition, retention and growth
  • Hands-on experience with closed-loop sales attribution and sales lift measurement using card, bank, SKU-level or comparable purchase transaction data
  • Deep expertise in incrementality and causal inference
  • Strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, retail media networks, programmatic advertising, clean rooms and campaign exposure data, and experience integrating measurement with partners and platforms
  • Strong SQL and Python (or R); you can build and check models yourself
  • Credibility with senior CPG, agency and retailer clients, and the ability to explain complex results simply and set realistic expectations
  • Sound judgment about what a measurement design can and cannot prove
  • Experience leading or developing analysts
  • Comfort using AI tools as an everyday part of your work
  • A well-formed point of view on measurement best practices, and the conviction to defend it with clients and internally

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with IAB and MRC retail media measurement guidelines, and experience setting up an MRC-accredited or audited measurement process
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling (MMM) and how it fits alongside closed-loop measurement
  • Background at a CPG purchase-data company, a retail media network, or a measurement provider

Why Consumer Edge

You’ll be building measurement for a media business that’s still early, using transaction data that most measurement teams don’t have access to. The methodology and the standards are yours to shape.

We offer competitive compensation, company equity, 401(k) matching, work-from-home flexibility, and subsidized health benefits.
