About this job

About Hiya

At Hiya, we’re making business calls more trusted, useful, and effective.

Voice remains one of the most important ways businesses communicate with their customers, but the value of a call depends on trust. When customers do not recognize who is calling or why, important conversations are missed, customer relationships suffer, and business outcomes are harder to achieve.

Hiya helps businesses create trusted calling experiences that benefit both sides of the conversation: enterprises can reach customers with confidence, and customers can answer with confidence. Our products support branded business calling, trusted caller identity, call performance insights, customer engagement, and voice security capabilities that help businesses strengthen relationships and improve outcomes.

This role sits in a core business area for Hiya and is focused on helping SMB and enterprise customers succeed.

About the Role

This year we rewrote our story from the ground up — who we are, why we matter, and where we're going. Now we need someone to take that story global and make Hiya the voice the world trusts on the future of the phone call.

This is the role where it all comes together. You'll own how the world sees Hiya: the press, the analysts, the stages, our social channels, and the creative that ties it into one unmistakable brand. And it's a story with real range. The same Hiya has to land with a network executive in Madrid deciding how to protect millions of subscribers from AI scams, a sales leader in Toronto whose team's calls keep going unanswered, and a mom in Ohio who just got a deepfake call pretending to be her son asking for money.

You'll lead our existing creative + events teams and PR agencies, you'll build, and you'll get your hands dirty. Organic social doesn't exist here yet. You'll write the strategy, find our voice, and ship the first posts yourself. This is a director role for someone who still loves doing the work.

What You'll Do

  • Own the brand. Take the new narrative from slides to everywhere Hiya shows up, and set the visual and verbal identity so every touchpoint looks and sounds like one Hiya. Give teams what they need to stay on brand without asking permission.

  • Flex the story without breaking it. Work with product marketing to tell it right for each audience, then make it land in each country, with its own pains and language.

  • Set global PR strategy. Decide where we invest market by market, including how PR helps us break into new ones. Lead our agencies and keep the narrative owned in-house.

  • Turn our data into headlines. Make our annual State of the Call report the one reporters, analysts, and operators wait for, and keep a steady drumbeat of data stories by market.

  • Build analyst relations. Get Hiya in front of the analysts who shape how operators and businesses buy, and make sure they know our story cold.

  • Build organic social as a function, not just a channel. Grow our executives' voices, set guardrails with legal so the team can move fast, create ideas that travel across paid, owned, earned, and AI search, and turn what we hear into intel for product, sales, and PR.

  • Make Hiya a visible industry leader. Build the thought leadership and speaking program, prep spokespeople, and go after the keynotes and awards that put us at the center of voice security and AI fraud. Have a plan ready for when something goes sideways.

  • Make events count. With our global events manager, set the event strategy: which events matter for which audiences, how we show up, and how we measure presence and relationships, not just leads. Flagship moments like Mobile World Congress should feel unmistakably Hiya.

  • Build and lead the team. Coach and grow the team, run our agencies, and build a creative function that scales globally. Hire for where we're going.

  • Measure what matters: share of voice, coverage quality, analyst perception, and how brand, PR, and social move people from awareness to consideration. Use it to decide where to invest.

What We Are Looking For

  • You've led brand and comms before. You have 10+ years in brand, communications, or PR at B2B tech companies, including leading teams and agencies across multiple countries.

  • A leader who still does the work. You set the strategy, then write the pitch, draft the post, and give the designer specific feedback yourself. You're as comfortable managing as you are doing.

  • A team builder. You've grown creative or comms teams from small to scaled.

  • A storyteller with taste. You can make telecom, AI, and fraud interesting enough that a reporter leans in, and you know great creative when you see it. B2B buzzwords make you wince.

  • Consistent without being rigid. You've kept a brand coherent across audiences, products, and countries, and you know when to flex and when to hold the line.

  • Strong across PR, analyst relations, and social. These are your core skills, not side projects. You have real media and analyst relationships, ideally in tech, telecom, or security, and you've turned social from a posting calendar into a real function.

  • Global by default. You've run comms across the US and Europe, and you know a story that works in New York can fall flat in Madrid.

  • Calm in a storm. You've handled issues and crisis comms and know how to protect trust when it counts.

  • Hands-on and experimental with AI. Our PMs are already vibe-coding fixes to production. You'll use AI daily to move faster and keep the quality bar high.

  • Comfortable on stage and in the room with executives, operators, and press.

How We Work

Hiya is not a passive environment. We expect people to take ownership, form opinions, and engage directly with hard problems.

We work with a high degree of transparency and autonomy. Context is shared openly, and decisions are discussed, challenged, and then made. Once a call is made, we commit and move forward.

You'll be expected to work through ambiguity, weigh tradeoffs, and take responsibility for results, while keeping a high bar for quality and customer trust.

Every team member at Hiya is expected to live our core values:

  • Serve, our customers and partners by holding a high bar for trust and quality

  • Own, share in success and open up to failures

  • Lead, listen, show up with a point of view but commit entirely once a decision has been made

  • Improve, even if it means changing course or contradicting ourselves

  • Do, rather than observe
