About this job

Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France.

As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.

We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.

We are seeking a Director of TCG & Pop Culture Marketing to lead strategy and execution for PSA’s TCG and Pop Culture grading categories, including Pokémon, comics, magazines, and video games.

This role owns how products come to market and scale, spanning positioning, go-to-market strategy, and lifecycle growth. The Director serves as the central connector across Product, Operations, Growth, and Brand to ensure clarity of strategy and disciplined execution. This leader brings deep, first-hand credibility in TCG ecosystems alongside strong product marketing leadership and plays a critical role in strengthening PSA’s position at the center of the collector ecosystem.

You’ll report to the Senior Director of PSA Marketing and work from our Santa Ana or New Jersey office. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What You'll Do:

Product Marketing & Go-to-Market

  • Own end-to-end product marketing strategy across TCG and Pop Culture categories

  • Define target segments and develop acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies

  • Lead go-to-market planning for product launches, drops, and category expansions

  • Drive integrated campaign strategy across digital, CRM, events, and social channels

Positioning & Product Strategy

  • Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions by category

  • Translate collector insights and market dynamics into actionable product and GTM strategies

  • Partner with Product and Operations to inform roadmap priorities and readiness

  • Develop pricing, packaging, and promotional frameworks in partnership with business leads

Category Leadership (TCG / Pop Culture)

  • Serve as the internal and external expert across Pokémon and broader TCG ecosystems

  • Support PSA’s expansion into Pop Culture grading through clear, compelling narratives

  • Build partnerships across creators, IP holders, retailers, and key industry events

  • Identify whitespace opportunities and develop scalable playbooks for category growth

  • Stay ahead of market dynamics, including release cycles, grading demand, and pricing trends

Growth & Performance

  • Establish and manage full-funnel KPIs (awareness through submission and engagement)

  • Drive continuous optimization through testing across channels, offers, and experiences

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing product marketing function

  • Partner cross-functionally across Growth, Brand, Product, Operations, Sales, Legal, and Finance

  • Elevate organizational understanding of the TCG market and collector mindset

Who You Are

  • 10–12+ years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market, or category leadership roles

  • 5–7+ years of people management experience, building and leading high-performing teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Deep, authentic expertise in TCG ecosystems, with strong knowledge of Pokémon and adjacent IP

  • Strong understanding of grading, collectibles markets, and secondary marketplaces

  • Proven track record of launching products and scaling category growth

  • Experience operating cross-functionally in complex organizations

  • Data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into action

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
