Job Description

The Fraud Special Project Consultant – Fraud & Operations supports projects, business-management activities, executive reporting, and CAO-related deliverables across Fraud and Operations.

The role organizes and analyzes information, coordinates project activities, develops recurring reporting and presentation materials, tracks commitments and milestones, and supports more senior team members and business leaders in executing organizational priorities.

The position may also support risk, process improvement, change-management, and other special initiatives based on emerging business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Initiative Support

  • Support projects and initiatives across Fraud and Operations.
  • Maintain project plans, milestones, action items, decisions, dependencies, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings, working sessions, deliverables, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Gather and consolidate information from multiple business partners.
  • Escalate emerging risks, delays, or unresolved issues to project and business leads.
  • Support implementation and follow-up activities.

CAO & Executive Reporting Support

  • Support preparation of QBRs, MBRs, executive presentations, leadership updates, and other CAO-related deliverables.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes.
  • Collect, validate, consolidate, and organize information contributed by Fraud and Operations teams.
  • Draft presentation materials and written business updates using established formats and leadership expectations.
  • Maintain reporting calendars, templates, presentation standards, and historical materials.

Business Management

  • Track organizational commitments, milestones, decisions, and leadership action items.
  • Assist with preparing meeting materials, agendas, status summaries, and follow-up documentation.
  • Perform research and basic analysis to support business decisions and project delivery.
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or reporting gaps and work with appropriate partners to resolve them.

Risk & Change Support

  • Support risk-related projects, process changes, control activities, and change-management initiatives.
  • Coordinate documentation and stakeholder input for assigned risk or change efforts.
  • Maintain project documentation and evidence supporting execution.
  • Assist with impact assessments, readiness activities, communications, implementation tracking, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Support senior team members on more complex risk or organizational initiatives.

Scope / Level of Complexity

  • Moderate ambiguity: Works independently within established objectives, processes, and frameworks.
  • Project support: May own defined workstreams or smaller projects while supporting senior consultants on larger initiatives.
  • Leadership exposure: Develops materials for leadership, typically with senior review for highly visible executive communications.
  • Analysis: Consolidates and analyzes information and identifies themes, gaps, and issues.
  • Risk support: Coordinates defined risk and change activities rather than independently leading highly complex cross-functional risk matters.
  • Escalation: Recognizes issues requiring senior attention and escalates appropriately.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in project coordination, business operations, analytics, risk, fraud, financial services, communications, or a related function.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to organize large amounts of information and convert it into concise business materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Experience preparing business presentations, reporting, or status updates.
  • Familiarity with risk management, change management, fraud, or financial-services operations is preferred.
