At Electrophysiology Therapies Marketing Analytics and Insights, our mission is to empower better data driven decisions, increase data access and improve process efficiency for generating insights. Join our growing team and lead a high-visibility, high-impact program to help bring this mission to reality. This is a unique opportunity to drive the end-to-end strategy and execution of the Electrophysiology Therapies Marketing Analytics Reporting Suite by leading a cross functional team of commercial teams and technical developers.
We’re looking for a seasoned program leader with commercial (downstream/ upstream/ marketing analytics) marketing background in medical devices or healthcare industry. You’ll play a pivotal role in understanding the key analytics needs of the business and translating those needs into actionable requirements for the technical team. You will also be responsible to developing the strategy for the life-cycle management of this program, recommending resourcing needs and driving adoption of the tools within the program.
A Day in the Life
- Own the end-to-end program plan and roadmap for the Electrophysiology Therapies Marketing Analytics Reporting Suite.
- Serve as the primary bridge between commercial stakeholders and technical team—including corporate insights team and other development partners.
- Translate commercial questions and workflows into clear use cases, requirements, prioritized backlog items, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with commercial marketing, sales, finance, product, and leadership partners to understand how dashboards will be used and what business questions need to be answered.
- Lead discovery and prioritization for reporting needs; facilitate working sessions to align on audience, business purpose, key performance indicators, metric definitions, and the right level of detail.
- Partner with technical teams to shape dashboard and data solutions, clarify trade-offs, resolve ambiguity, manage dependencies, and keep business outcomes central to technical decisions. This is a program leader role—not a hands-on software development position.
- Establish consistent program governance, including executive updates, decision forums, status reporting, issue and risk management, and timely escalation of barriers.
- Coordinate design reviews, data and metric validation, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and stakeholder sign-off so reporting is accurate, understandable, and fit for commercial use.
- Lead change management and adoption, including communications, enablement, training, feedback loops, and post-launch improvements. Use adoption and outcome data to guide the roadmap.
- Define and monitor success measures such as report usage, data quality, time saved, access to insights, and the extent to which reporting supports commercial decisions.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and scale reporting practices across Electrophysiology Therapies.
- Manage external partners or vendors, as applicable, and ensure program activities follow Medtronic processes and applicable privacy, security, quality, and compliance requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, information systems, analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in program/project/ product management or leading other commercial marketing initiatives; an advanced degree may be considered in place of up to two years of experience, subject to Medtronic’s job-level requirements.
- 5+ years of commercial marketing or downstream marketing experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment, with accountability for outcomes across teams that may not report directly to you.
- Experience translating commercial stakeholder needs into clear requirements and working effectively with technical, analytics, data, or software teams to deliver solutions.
- Strong understanding of commercial performance measurement, business/ financial metrics, and how sales and marketing teams use reporting to make decisions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms and business needs in actionable terms for technical teams.
- Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, align teams, resolve ambiguity, and escalate issues constructively.
- Experience managing program plans, dependencies, risks, decisions, competing priorities, and multiple work streams through launch and adoption.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; able to synthesize complex information and recommend a clear path forward.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, business analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, cardiac ablation, or another cardiovascular medical device business.
