About this job
About us
Office Hours is an on-demand marketplace for verified human knowledge. We connect leading organizations with trusted experts who earn income by sharing their knowledge through advisory work, research, and AI model training.
We're a fast-growing, profitable company building new ways for people and AI agents to access human expertise. We are headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Brooklyn and Bangalore, and backed by leading marketplace investors and operators from companies like DoorDash, Airbnb, Pinterest, and Affirm.
What we believe
Human knowledge is the world's most valuable asset. Yet most of it remains inaccessible and underutilized.
We're building a world where anyone can get paid for what they know, and anyone can access trusted human expertise on demand. We believe great products can make this exchange effortless, creating more opportunities for experts and more valuable answers for the people who need them.
About the role
We're looking for a Product Manager with exceptional entrepreneurial drive, strong product judgment, and commercial instincts. We're open to candidates at both the Product Manager and Senior Product Manager levels, and care more about demonstrated ability, impact, and potential than years of experience or previous titles.
You'll help Office Hours discover, build, and bring new products to market. Initially, you'll focus on expanding how organizations access and use expert knowledge, exploring new customer needs, developing new product experiences, and turning promising opportunities into successful, growing businesses.
This is a hands-on, externally facing role for someone who loves building things from scratch. You'll work directly with prospective customers to uncover problems, pitch ideas, validate demand, and win early adopters. You'll partner closely with engineering, design, sales, and operations to turn those insights into products that customers love and are willing to pay for.
We're looking for someone ambitious, resourceful, and highly self-directed. Someone who sees an opportunity, takes ownership, and has the drive and discipline to make it happen.
What you'll do
Discover new opportunities. Work directly with customers and prospects to understand their needs, uncover unmet demand, and identify opportunities for new products and businesses.
Build products from zero to one. Turn ambiguous opportunities into compelling product concepts, rapidly prototype solutions, and work with engineering and design to bring them to market.
Win early customers. Pitch new ideas, recruit design partners, run pilots, and work directly with customers to validate demand and drive early adoption and revenue.
Find product-market fit. Develop hypotheses, test assumptions, gather feedback, and iterate quickly to discover what customers truly value and are willing to pay for.
Drive commercialization. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations on positioning, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies that help products gain traction.
Own outcomes, not output. Define clear success metrics, measure adoption and commercial performance, and use what you learn to determine where to invest, iterate, or change direction.
Drive execution end to end. Bring structure to ambiguous initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and maintain momentum from initial exploration through launch and growth.
What you bring
3+ years of relevant professional experience in product management, entrepreneurship, consulting, engineering, business operations, or a related field. We care more about demonstrated ability and impact than a specific career path.
An entrepreneurial mindset. You're ambitious, self-motivated, and energized by building something from nothing. You take initiative, create momentum, and don't need someone telling you what to do next.
Strong commercial instincts. You enjoy talking to customers, understanding their businesses, pitching ideas, and finding opportunities to create and capture value.
Exceptional product judgment. You can identify meaningful customer problems, develop creative solutions, and translate ambiguous ideas into simple, compelling product experiences.
A bias toward action. You're resourceful, scrappy, and comfortable moving quickly with incomplete information. You'd rather test an idea in the real world than endlessly debate it.
Strong analytical and organizational skills. You approach problems with structure and rigor, pay attention to details, and can manage complex initiatives without losing sight of what matters.
Clear communication and collaboration. You can explain complex ideas simply, build relationships with customers and colleagues, and bring people together to achieve ambitious outcomes.
Bonus experience
Experience launching new products, finding product-market fit, or building new businesses at an early-stage startup.
Experience with B2B software, developer platforms, APIs, AI products, or two-sided marketplaces.
Experience in customer development, enterprise sales, or partnerships.
Background in management consulting, investment banking, or another analytically rigorous environment, combined with a strong builder's mindset.
Experience building products, prototypes, or side projects using AI-assisted development tools.
