About this job
About the Role
iCapital is seeking a Vice President Product Manager to join the Pre-Investments Product organization. This highly visible role will help shape the platforms and capabilities that support investment products across the firm, with a focus on improving efficiency, increasing transparency, and enabling business growth. Operating at the intersection of product, operations, data, and technology, this role will play an important part in advancing the Pre-Investments product ecosystem and creating structure across complex business needs. The position offers the opportunity to influence meaningful business outcomes through technology while contributing to the continued evolution and scale of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for product domains supporting the onboarding, maintenance, and lifecycle management of alternative investment products.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify business challenges, uncover opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions that create measurable value.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams, systems, and business processes, balancing near-term priorities with long-term platform strategy.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration, including prioritization, requirements definition, testing, rollout planning, adoption monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Translate complex workflows, operational processes, and reference data requirements into intuitive user experiences and scalable, maintainable product solutions.
- Define clear business and product requirements through business cases, process flows, data models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Data teams to define scalable domain models, data structures, integrations, and platform capabilities that support long-term business growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of business entities, relationships, workflows, and data dependencies while driving alignment on data ownership, authoritative sources, system boundaries, and information governance across interconnected platforms.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and workflow optimization to improve productivity, data quality, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Communicate priorities, progress, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership while coordinating closely with the UX, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other Product teams.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and drive tactical and strategic improvements while fostering ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of product management experience within fintech, wealth management, asset management, enterprise software, workflow platforms, data platforms, or related industries
- Proven experience owning complex products or platforms from strategy and discovery through execution, adoption, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, systems, dependencies, and competing priorities
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, master data management, reference data, metadata, or other data-intensive systems
- Demonstrated ability to model complex business domains and translate business concepts into logical entities, relationships, attributes, hierarchies, and workflows
- Experience creating or reviewing entity relationship diagrams, domain models, process models, workflow diagrams, data flows, and system interaction diagrams
- Able to understand technical tradeoffs and contribute meaningfully to discussions involving data models, APIs, integrations, platform architecture, scalability, and system design
- SQL proficiency and comfort working directly with data to investigate issues, validate assumptions, and support product decisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex challenges, navigate ambiguity, and make informed decisions with imperfect information
- Strong command of product management practices, including discovery, roadmap development, prioritization, requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and agile delivery
- Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, including experience working directly with senior leaders, clients, business partners, and engineering teams
- Familiar with modern product management, technical, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, analytics platforms, API tools, and AI productivity tools
