About this job
At Mudflap, we're modernizing the $1 trillion trucking industry, the backbone of the U.S. economy. By helping over 100,000 underserved small businesses save over $1.5 billion on fuel, Mudflap has quickly grown into a profitable fintech platform that processes billions in annual payment volume.
Trucking keeps America moving, and Mudflap is building the technology to move the industry forward. This is an opportunity for a hands-on builder who moves fast, thinks strategically, and is excited to help define Mudflap's next chapter.
We're entering an ambitious new phase of growth, expanding beyond fuel and bringing Parade's freight technology into the Mudflap ecosystem. We're looking for an exceptional Product Marketing Lead, B2B to serve as the marketing lead for our Freight business—shaping the business and GTM strategy, orchestrating marketing across functions, and accelerating growth.
This is broader than a traditional product marketing role. You'll operate with a GM mindset for Freight within Marketing: deeply understanding the customer and market, identifying the biggest opportunities for growth, establishing GTM priorities, and bringing together Product Marketing, Growth, Brand, Creative, Content and other capabilities around an integrated strategy.
You'll personally own the core PMM disciplines—positioning, customer research, product launches, and Sales and Customer Success enablement—while serving as the strategic quarterback across Marketing and a close partner to Product, Sales, Customer Success and company leadership.
You'll be accountable not simply for what we launch, but for the commercial impact Marketing has on the Freight business.
AI is fundamental to how we work. We're looking for someone who pushes its limits, builds new workflows, and challenges traditional approaches to product marketing.
Work Location: Bay Area or Austin-Based, Hybrid
This role can be based in Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA and involves a hybrid work approach, balancing in-office collaboration with the ability to work remotely.
To support our team, we offer:
Commuter benefits to ease your travel
Lunches and snacks to keep you fueled
A collaborative, high-growth environment where you’ll work closely with talented teammates across the company
Expectations (In this role, you will):
Lead Freight Marketing: Own the marketing strategy for Freight, identifying growth opportunities, setting priorities, and driving commercial impact.
Shape the Future of Parade: Lead the GTM strategy for integrating Parade into Mudflap, strengthening positioning, accelerating adoption, and driving growth.
Own B2B Product Marketing: Drive positioning, messaging, and product launches that differentiate our products and accelerate adoption.
Orchestrate Marketing: Align Growth, Brand, Creative, Content, and Lifecycle around integrated strategies that drive business results.
Get Close to Customers: Lead customer research, interviews, and competitive analysis to uncover insights that shape product and GTM strategy.
Write Exceptional Copy: Turn complex technology into clear, compelling messaging across campaigns, launches, sales materials, and customer communications.
Drive Commercial Success: Equip Sales and Customer Success with the messaging, insights, and tools to win, retain, and grow customers.
Push the Boundaries of AI: Build AI-powered workflows, experiment with emerging tools, and transform how we research, create, and execute.
Own Business Outcomes: Measure impact across acquisition, activation, retention, expansion, and revenue, optimizing investments to accelerate growth.
Experience (What we look for):
7+ years of B2B product marketing, GTM, or business leadership experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, marketplaces, or logistics.
GM Mindset & Commercial Instincts: Understands business economics, complex B2B sales cycles, and what drives growth.
Exceptional GTM Ownership: Leads strategy through execution, prioritizes high-impact opportunities, and delivers measurable results.
Strategic Leadership: Owns budgets, makes smart investment decisions, and influences cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Customer Obsession & Storytelling: Independently uncovers customer insights and translates complex products into exceptional positioning, messaging, and copy.
AI at the Frontier: Builds with AI, experiments aggressively, and creates workflows that transform how marketing operates.
Builder Mentality: Hands-on, resourceful, and energized by ambiguity, fast execution, and significant ownership.
Bonus: Experience in freight, logistics, or transportation technology.

Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth startup
Multiple health benefit options
