About this job

The Role

You'll own how the world understands Comfy.

Comfy is the most powerful workflow engine for visual AI, used by 4 million people and a growing list of studios, agencies and brands. In the past few months we've gone from one open-source engine to a full platform: ComfyUI and Comfy Desktop, Comfy Cloud, Comfy API, Comfy Router, Workshop, Comfy Agent, and Team and Enterprise plans. The products are strong. The story that ties them together isn't written yet.

As our Product Marketing Lead, you'll write it. You'll own positioning, messaging and launches across every Comfy product, and you'll be the person who makes artists, developers and enterprise buyers get why control over every model, parameter and output matters, and why Comfy is the place to get it.

This is a 0→1 role. You won't inherit much of a a launch machine, a messaging framework or a competitive playbook. You'll build them, reporting directly to our CEO, Yoland, and working closely with product, creative, community and sales. You'll stay hands-on: writing the positioning, shipping the launch, and making sure each one lands harder than the last.

What You'll Do

  • Own positioning and messaging: Define how Comfy talks about itself across Self-hosted ComfyUI, the Dev Platform, Agent and Enterprise, and keep it sharp as the product moves weekly.

  • Run launches end to end: Own the launch calendar for model, product and platform releases: the narrative, the assets, the sequencing and the people. Build the playbook so every launch compounds.

  • Make the platform one story: Help users see the path from free ComfyUI to Partner Nodes, Cloud, the API and Enterprise, and package each step so it's easy to understand and easy to buy.

  • Know the market cold: Track the visual-AI landscape and position Comfy's control-and-craft advantage against prompt-box tools and model platforms. Own competitive comparisons and battlecards.

  • Arm sales and community: Give the Enterprise sales team, Forward Deployed Creatives and community team the messaging, pitch narratives, case studies and enablement they need to win.

  • Speak to every audience: Creatives and power users, developers building on Comfy, and studio and brand buyers in film, VFX, games and advertising each need their own story. Write all of them.

  • Partner on pricing and packaging: Work with product and GTM on how subscriptions, credits and plans are presented so they feel simple and fair.

  • Tie the work to outcomes: Measure what each launch and message drives in signups, activation, paid conversion and pipeline, and cut what isn't working.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

  • Have 7+ years in product marketing, including owning launches end to end at a product-led, developer-tools or creator-tools company, with results to show.

  • Have built product marketing 0→1: a positioning framework, a launch process or a PMM function from a blank page.

  • Write positioning crisp enough to hold up against a sharp competitive set, and can go from a one-line tagline to a full enterprise narrative.

  • Have marketed to both individual users and enterprise buyers, ideally with usage-based or credit-based pricing.

  • Stay hands-on: you'd rather ship the message and the asset than manage a process around it.

  • Are data-literate and read adoption, activation and conversion funnels yourself.

  • Operate from first principles with high agency and low ego.

  • Are SF-based or willing to relocate to join our in-person team.

Bonus If You Have

  • Marketed an open-source or open-core product, and know how to grow a business without losing the community.

  • Experience in the creative industry: film and TV, VFX, animation, games, advertising or agencies.

  • Launched AI or developer platform products (APIs, agents, model platforms).

  • Used Comfy or have real familiarity with AI creative tools.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $200K–$280K

  • Equity: + meaningful equity

  • Plus benefits and relocation support for SF.

About Comfy

Comfy (https://www.comfy.org) is the AI creation engine for visual professionals who demand control over every model, every parameter, and every output. The most powerful workflow engine for visual AI.

Unlike tools that hide everything behind a prompt box, Comfy lets you connect models, processing steps, and outputs on a canvas where every decision is visible and every step is inspectable. It gives you the building blocks to create workflows nobody's imagined yet, and share them with everyone.

What started as an open-source project in 2023 now has 4 million users, 60,000+ community-built nodes, and 150,000+ daily downloads. It's used by artists, filmmakers, game studios, designers, researchers, and VFX houses, including teams at OpenAI, Netflix, Amazon Studios, Ubisoft, EA, and Tencent.

We're a small, intense team in San Francisco. Our team comes from Stability AI and Google, and many contributed to the ComfyUI ecosystem long before working here. Low ego, high ownership. We work hard and demand a lot of each other, but we have fun. Everyone here is building something meaningful that will end up being our life's work.

If this mission excites you and you view yourself as top-tier talent, your future latent self is waiting for you at Comfy.

Check out our Github (https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI) and blog (https://blog.comfy.org). We recently raised $30M at a $500M valuation. The round was led by Craft, with participation from Pace Capital, Chemistry, TruArrow, and others.
