About this job

About the Role

Cybercrime doesn't wait for anyone to catch up to it, and neither do we. As a Product Marketing Manager on our Product Marketing team, you'll turn complex, behavioral-AI-driven security into stories buyers instantly understand and remember, and you'll make sure Abnormal is positioned clearly and distinctly to win in the market. You'll build strategic messaging, partner with Sales Enablement and Marketing across every stage of the buyer's journey, and serve as a go-to subject matter expert on the email security market for customers and analysts.

You'll be doing this during one of the more exciting stretches in the company's history: we're growing quickly, protecting more than 5,000 customers including 30% of the Fortune 500, and expanding fast from email into identity, AI security, and insider threat. That means more products to launch, more narrative to shape, and more impact to make than you would at a mature market leader.

You're a strategic marketer with real technical curiosity and a gift for explaining cybersecurity concepts to buyers without losing the nuance. You write compelling, external-facing content, thrive in fast-paced environments with frequent launches, and influence stakeholders at every level. You listen closely, empathize with customers, and are driven by business impact and the success of our customers and partners.

What You Will Do

  • Develop compelling, differentiated product messaging and positioning that makes Abnormal's approach impossible to confuse with anyone else's.
  • Lead internal and external product launches across sales enablement, press, digital, and other channels.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to drive demand and pipeline through acquisition and upsell messaging aligned to the buyer's journey.
  • Own end-to-end launch strategies for incremental updates and feature releases, not just the big moments.
  • Create and maintain product content, including collateral, thought leadership, solution presentations, website content, videos, and blogs.
  • Conduct customer research to understand what buyers need and let it sharpen the messaging.
  • Enable sales teams and channel partners on product value and joint solutions.
  • Represent Abnormal as a speaker in external forums.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years experience producing written content for buyers, ideally within cybersecurity, with samples available.
  • Experience managing product launches in high-velocity environments.
  • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to explain complex concepts to buyers clearly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to execute independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Strong listening skills, empathy, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Passion for Abnormal's mission and a commitment to customer and partner success.
