At Alamar, we are passionate about enabling our customers to make scientific discoveries that translate into clinical outcomes and benefit patients. Our team is growing quickly as we develop innovative approaches to measure critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples that can enable the earliest possible detection of disease. We believe the next frontier in biology is enabled by measuring proteins at higher sensitivity in highly multiplexed assays at the push of a button, which is something only Alamar can do. As we build our team, we seek collaborative, driven, intellectually curious people committed to solving complex challenges. Our culture rewards accountability and cross functional teamwork because we believe this enables the kind of breakthrough thinking that will accelerate our mission.

•    Examine the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance and perform troubleshooting as needed.
•    Support in-house engineers to integrate and adapt different assay workflows onto Alamar’s proprietary instrument platform.

Requirements:

•    PhD degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field, Masters with 3+ years or BA with 5+ years of hands-on experience running ELISA, qPCR, or similar, as well as experience in generating, analyzing, and reviewing data from those assays are required.
•    A demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and document results is critical.
•    Strong organizational skills are required.
•    Experience in developing multiplex assays is desirable.
•    Experience in automation or in using automated liquid handlers is a plus.
•    Experience in IVD product development with ELISA immunoassay and/or NGS is a plus.
•    Experience in using R, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
•    Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex projects are critical.
•    Data management skills are highly beneficial.
•    Strong communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment required.
