About this job

Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, Technology Finance

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office.

From accounting and financial planning to risk/fraud analysis and payments, our Finance team ensures not only our company’s financial security, but also that our customers can buy from us with confidence.

Why this job’s a big deal:

Priceline – a part of Booking Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), a highly profitable global online travel company with a market capitalization of over $90 billion – is looking for a Senior Analyst, FP&A to join its Finance team and support Technology Finance. Our FP&A team sits at the center of the organization and is actively involved with all major strategic decisions. In this role, you will serve as a key financial partner to our Technology organization, owning the planning, forecasting and reporting for technology spend – including software, cloud infrastructure, and IT consulting – and helping the business understand the return on our technology investments. The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life. It’s therefore essential that this role meets our high standard of ethics, honesty, transparency and compliance.

In this role you will get to:

  • Act as an embedded financial partner to the CTO and Technology leadership team, serving as the connection between Finance rigor and Technology execution
  • Own the planning, budgeting and forecasting process for Technology spend – including software licensing/subscriptions, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), and IT consulting/professional services – in close partnership with the CTO and Technology leaders.
  • Partner day-to-day with engineering, product & technology enablement, accounting, and procurement teams to track spend against budget, identify variances, and surface areas for technology partners to find opportunities for cost optimization, such as cloud rightsizing, software rationalization, and vendor consolidation.
  • Support month-end close responsibilities for Technology accounts, including accrual support and variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year, with clear narrative on key drivers.
  • Build and maintain reporting that gives Technology and Finance leadership visibility into performance, designing dashboards and conducting reviews across leadership and functional teams.
  • Support business cases and ROI analysis for major technology investments, and partner with legal and procurement on vendor contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Help evolve and automate Technology Finance’s reporting infrastructure, and contribute to broader FP&A process improvements.
  • Manage ad hoc requests and support special projects for Technology and Finance leadership.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of related professional experience; FP&A experience required. Experience supporting a technology organization, or working with software and cloud cost data, is a plus
  • Proven track record of critical thinking, performing comprehensive analysis, synthesizing data and presenting insights in a clear and concise way
  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Excel, and ability and interest to learn and utilize tools such as OneStream, Fintastic, BigQuery, and cloud cost management platforms (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudZero)
  • Comfortable partnering with technical stakeholders and translating technology concepts – cloud consumption, software licensing models, capitalization rules – into financial terms, and vice versa
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others, and work well with people at a wide range of levels
  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust
  • The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life. Unquestionable integrity and ethics is essential.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000
