About this job
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
What is the Developer Led Growth (DLG) Team?
At the heart of our mission is a simple goal: to make choosing and integrating authentication a delightful experience for every developer.
We're the DLG team; essentially Product Led Growth (PLG), but for developers using Auth0. We're a high-impact, multidisciplinary engine spanning Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, our Startup Program, and Product Activation and Conversion. We move metrics and build the journey that turns curious developers into lifelong advocates.
Why This Role?
This role sits within the DLG team as part of a two-person data team, where you'll have an experienced tech lead as your analytical partner, giving you both the autonomy to own your domain and the support to go deep on hard problems. The DLG team moves fast across many fronts, and this role is the analytical voice that keeps everyone aligned on key metrics. That means your ability to communicate clearly, whether you're presenting to a VP, syncing with a data engineer, or writing a Slack message that makes a complex finding land, this matters as much as your technical skills.
You'll have real autonomy and a clear voice in what gets built. Requests come from every direction across the DLG org, and while your tech lead manages the overall roadmap, you'll have genuine input into prioritization decisions and the freedom to push back when scope isn't right. As you grow in the role, so does your ownership. This is a place where strong opinions and good judgment get rewarded.
You'll ask questions nobody else is asking. The best work on this team doesn't come from running the report that was requested, it comes from finding the insight nobody thought to look for. We want someone who is genuinely curious and brings creative thinking to how they frame problems.
You'll work at the frontier of AI-assisted analytics. We're a team that actively uses AI tooling to move faster and think bigger. We expect you to use AI as a force multiplier, in how you write SQL, explore data, prototype models, and document your work.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards, Snowflake Streamlit and DBT models that serve as the single source of truth for the DLG business
- Translate complex, cross-functional data into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders across product, marketing, sales, finance, and ops
- Proactively identify gaps, discrepancies, and opportunities in the data, and communicate findings in a way that drives action, not just awareness
- Own prioritization of your analytics roadmap: scope requests, push back when needed, and make transparent tradeoffs about where your time goes
- Analyze A/B experiments and DLG initiatives; design measurement frameworks that hold up to scrutiny
- Help the team automate and scale processes using AI tools, custom SQL, and creative approaches to reduce manual work
- Write clean, well-documented SQL and DBT models that others can build on
What We're Looking For.
- Communication and stakeholder management - You can explain a complex data finding to a non-technical executive and a data engineer on the same day and land differently with each. You write clearly, listen well, and are comfortable pushing back when requirements aren't scoped correctly.
- Prioritization - You've operated in a high-demand environment where you couldn't do everything, and you have a clear framework for how you decide what matters. You can make your reasoning transparent and bring stakeholders along.
- Creative thinking - You approach analytics problems by first questioning whether you're solving the right problem. You've found insights that surprised the people who asked for the analysis.
- AI proficiency - You actively use AI tools (LLM assistants, code tools, automation) as part of your daily workflow and can speak concretely to how they've changed what you're able to produce.
- Technical depth - 5+ years in data analytics; strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with DBT, Snowflake, Tableau, and Git preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python
- Developer-facing product experience
- Translating developer behavior into product insights
- A/B testing and experimentation design
- Revenue modeling and forecasting
