Meet the Team

Cisco is transforming how we communicate, enable and activate our people to accelerate a high-performing culture. We're moving beyond traditional communications approaches to an integrated, AI-powered orchestration model that creates clarity, reduces noise and turns business priorities into action.

As Senior Director, Communications Orchestration, you will lead this transformation across Cisco's People, Policy & Purpose (3P) organization. You will help drive how our priorities come to life for executives, leaders, and employees—working closely with product and service owners to bring communications, change management, enablement, and activation together into one connected experience.

Your Impact

This role requires a strategic leader with deep AI expertise who can challenge traditional operating models, build new capabilities and lead a modern orchestration organization that delivers greater impact with less complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Strategy & Orchestration

  • Define and lead an integrated Go-To-Market orchestration strategy that connects enterprise priorities, communications, change management and enablement to measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish portfolio prioritization, governance and decision rights to coordinate initiatives, reduce competing messages.
  • Partner with program and service owners to execute on activation strategies, while maintaining clear accountability for change management, adoption, execution and outcomes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing orchestration team, streamlining workflows, consolidating overlapping capabilities and driving operational excellence.

AI-Native Transformation & Operating Model Innovation

  • Architect and implement an AI-native orchestration model, redesigning how communications, enablement and content are planned, created, and delivered.
  • Leverage generative AI, agentic workflows, intelligent automation and personalization to eliminate repetitive work, accelerate execution and improve audience experiences.
  • Identify and implement emerging AI technologies that transform content operations, audience targeting and employee engagement.
  • Build AI-forward capabilities across the organization through talent development, targeted hiring, experimentation and responsible AI adoption.

Focused and Simplified Audience Experience

  • Coordinate and create a unified communications strategy and experience.
  • Working with services and program owners to translate enterprise priorities into clear actions and everyday behaviors that build a high-performing culture.
  • Develop modern, engaging approaches—including video-first storytelling, personalized nudges, AI-powered content and leader enablement—that simplify complex information and accelerate adoption.
  • Partner across the business to deliver relevant, timely experiences that reduce noise, improve understanding and make it easier for employees and leaders to act.

Insights, Adoption & Business Impact

  • Work with teams to measure success against shared product and service goals, focusing on adoption, behavior change, and business results.
  • Measure operational effectiveness, including cycle time, duplication, productivity improvements and AI-enabled efficiencies.
  • Demonstrate the impact of orchestration through improved employee experience, stronger adoption and measurable business results.

Our Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of communications, marketing, or related strategic leadership experience
  • 5+ years in a director-level or equivalent role managing cross-functional communications initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of generative AI, agentic AI, intelligent automation and AI-enabled operating models, with practical enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional transformations and integrating communications, change management and enablement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, establish governance and influence senior executives in a global organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, executive communication and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Our Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading AI-enabled communications, marketing, employee experience or enterprise transformation within a large technology company.
  • Proven success deploying AI-powered workflows, personalization, content automation or intelligent employee experiences at scale.
  • Experience applying product management, service design or human-centered design principles to organizational change and employee adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to consolidate fragmented capabilities, simplify operating models and build scalable, efficient organizations.
  • Expertise in modern digital communications, video-first storytelling, behavioral analytics and change activation.
