What We’re Looking For

At Coretelligent, we take ownership of the technology our clients rely on every day. As a Senior Field Engineer, you'll serve as the primary technical, on-site, resource supporting a key client environment, delivering hands-on engineering, proactive system management, and trusted technical guidance in a fast-paced Managed Services (MSP) environment.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you'll partner closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to maintain, optimize, and modernize complex Microsoft environments. The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and thrives in building trusted partnerships while delivering exceptional service.

Stamford, CT | Exempt | Reports to Field Services Manager

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a senior technical resource supporting one or more client environments, delivering hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
  • Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, and other modern cloud services.
  • Manage identity, endpoint, and cloud environments, ensuring security, compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, networking, and enterprise applications.
  • Support and maintain core infrastructure, including Windows Server, virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud-based environments.
  • Lead or contribute to infrastructure deployments, technology refreshes, migrations, and other client-facing engineering initiatives.
  • Perform proactive system administration, health checks, patching, lifecycle planning, and environment optimization to improve reliability, security, and performance.
  • Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business needs, provide technical guidance, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Project Engineering, Professional Services, and other cross-functional teams to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, and environment records to support operational excellence.
  • Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours support for critical incidents and ensuring timely resolution of high-priority client issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve client environments and service delivery.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or Managed Services (MSP) environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Identity and Access Management.
  • Advanced experience administering Microsoft Intune, including device management, policy creation, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams and Exchange Online.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, core services, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting mid-sized environments of 200+ users, preferably in a client-facing MSP environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoints, identity, Microsoft cloud technologies, networking, and infrastructure.
  • Ability to balance reactive support with proactive system improvements and long-term planning.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience partnering directly with client stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and service delivery teams.
