About this job
Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We are seeking a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our Industrial Design team and shape the visual experience of our customer-facing hardware. From thoughtfully designed product packaging and intuitive installation guides to compelling executive presentations and branded merchandise, your work will help customers discover, understand, and connect with new technology.
This role combines exceptional visual design skills with deep knowledge of physical product development, packaging, and print production. You will collaborate with Industrial Designers, Engineers, Usability Researchers, and manufacturing partners to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging, and beautifully executed visual communications.
We're looking for a hands-on designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical execution, takes ownership from initial concept through production, and is excited to see their designs become real products used around the world.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
Hardware Packaging: Lead graphic design for customer hardware packaging, inserts, labels, and printed materials, creating cohesive, premium customer experiences.
Installation Guides: Develop intuitive manuals, quick-start guides, technical illustrations, and iconography that simplify complex hardware installation.
Print Production: Own production-ready artwork, dielines, print specifications, color management, and proof approvals. Collaborate directly with factory production teams and suppliers to ensure quality execution.
Executive Presentations: Create compelling presentations, infographics, diagrams, posters, and visual storytelling assets for hardware teams and senior leadership.
Brand Graphics and Merchandise: Design original graphics for apparel, patches, stickers, promotional materials, and team swag, overseeing production with external vendors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Industrial Design, Engineering, Usability, Marketing, and Operations to deliver accurate, intuitive, and visually consistent solutions.
Global Product Support: Adapt packaging and documentation for international markets, multilingual layouts, and regulatory requirements.
Design Excellence: Independently manage projects from concept through manufacturing, maintaining exceptional design quality and improving creative workflows.
A day in the life
One day you might collaborate with Industrial Designers and Packaging Engineers to develop packaging for a new customer terminal. The next, you could review factory print samples, refine installation illustrations with Usability Researchers, or create compelling graphics for an executive hardware review.
You'll balance hands-on creative work with technical problem-solving, supplier collaboration, and production execution. Projects range from sophisticated customer-facing packaging and documentation to mission-inspired merchandise celebrating major program milestones. You'll see your designs evolve from initial concepts into physical products used by customers around the world.
