Our Carlsbad, CA team is seeking a Mid-Level Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a classified all-domain mission system development program for the Department of War. In this role, you will develop system and mission-level models that inform capability design, integration, and verification across a complex engineering environment. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to perform trade studies, mature architectures, and maintain model traceability from requirements to verification activities. Work is conducted onsite in a classified facility, where modeling rigor, analytical depth, and configuration discipline are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Track measures of effectiveness (MOEs) and technical performance measures (TPMs) to inform engineering decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to mature system architectures and support design reviews.
  • Maintain model baselines, configuration integrity, and quality using collaborative model repositories and version control tools.
  • Support the development of executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows that inform system behavior.
  • Prepare and present model products, findings, and technical insights to review boards and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI. An active and transferable U.S. government-issued DODTS/SCI with the ability to obtain Special Access security clearance is required prior to the start date.

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with the NoMagic/Cameo suite (Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator). Proficiency in SysML, system modeling methodologies, and object‑oriented analysis/design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with analytical/simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, STK, Modelica, SciPy/SciKit‑Learn) to inform model‑driven trade space exploration.
  • Experience developing executable system models (e.g., OMG‑CSMP certification or equivalent knowledge).
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript for model automation and analysis.
  • Experience working in Agile engineering environments supporting Department of War or Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
  • Experience with UAF or DoDAF architecture frameworks.

Work Location: Ability to work full‑time in a classified Carlsbad, CA facility.
