About this job
Drata is building the trust layer between great companies - automating compliance, managing risk, and helping organizations prove trust continuously as they scale. We're Dratanauts: a global crew of 600+ professionals united by a culture that rewards integrity, ownership, and raising the bar, no matter where in the world we're working from.
Why Join the Drata Team?
At Drata, you're not maintaining legacy compliance software - you're building the agentic AI platform defining what trust looks like for the next generation of companies. Here's what makes the work itself worth showing up for:
Problems without a playbook: You'll work at the edge of AI and security, building agentic governance, continuous compliance, and real-time trust verification to solve problems that don't have an established answer yet. You're writing it as you go.
Real ownership, not just process: Our values center on owning outcomes and raising the bar, not checking boxes. You're expected to have opinions and back them.
A seat at the table: Your perspective is unique and valued. Open debate and diverse viewpoints are built into how decisions actually get made here, at every level.
Growth at rocketship speed: Drata is scaling fast, which means scope grows fast too. High performers get more ownership, visibility, and experience.
A crew, not just coworkers: Dratanauts consistently describe a "come as you are" culture with sharp, curious people—the kind of team that makes hard problems genuinely fun to solve. See what they say here and follow us on LinkedIn for company news, employee stories, and career updates.
Job Summary:
Drata's Compliance Group builds the core of our platform: the controls, evidence, frameworks and audit workflows that thousands of security and GRC teams rely on to prove they can be trusted. We're rebuilding that work for an agentic world, and we're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a product area within it end to end. You'll operate like a GM for your area: you decide which customer problems matter most, set a measurable destination with your engineering lead, and lead a small, builder-heavy team of engineers and design to get there. You own the customer outcome and the business case, not just the spec. You'll apply AI deliberately, and you'll own the trust, governance and quality judgment that comes with it.
What you’ll do:
Own value and business-viability risk for your product area: who it serves, what the problem costs them today, and what solving it is worth to Drata
Run continuous discovery across customer calls, Productboard insights, support signals and usage data, and turn it into a short, ranked list of evidence-backed problem statements
Set outcome-based goals (baseline, target, date and what's out of scope) jointly with your engineering manager
Sequence the path to those goals, make trade-offs explicit, and name the biggest risk and your fallback before anyone asks
Communicate the plan at three levels: to your team, to GTM and Customer Success partners, and to executives, leading with the customer impact
Lead launches through alpha, beta and GA with clear success criteria for each phase, then measure adoption, retention and business impact after release
Make product calls on AI-powered experiences, including model behavior, data quality, observability and user trust
Report progress every week with data pulled from the source and a short narrative, and call "at risk" early with a recovery plan
Build the business case for investment in your area and defend it with data
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of owning an outcome metric, not just shipping features
Strong discovery skills: you can run a great customer interview and separate the underlying problem from the feature request
Comfort with data. You pull your own numbers, define success metrics, and let evidence change your mind
Hands-on experience shipping AI-enabled product, or a well-formed point of view on how to do it responsibly
Clear, concise writing that works for both executives and engineers
Sound judgment on trade-offs across customer value, business value, technical constraints and risk
Experience working closely with sales-led GTM teams in an enterprise or mid-market motion
Nice to have:
Domain experience in security, compliance, GRC or audit (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST and similar)
Experience building data-heavy or workflow products for technical or regulated buyers
What success looks like:
First 90 days: you know your area's customers, metrics and system health; you've published a ranked set of problem statements and agreed on outcome goals with your engineering manager
6 months: your team is shipping against those goals with a plan in Linear, stakeholders know what's coming and why, and your weekly reporting is something leadership relies on
12 months: you can point to measurable customer and business impact in your area, and you're shaping Compliance Group strategy beyond it
