About this job
ABOUT EARNIN
As one of the first pioneers of earned wage access, our passion at EarnIn is building products that deliver real-time financial flexibility for people living paycheck to paycheck. Our community members access their earnings as they earn them, with options to spend, save, and grow their money without mandatory fees, interest rates, or credit checks. We’re fortunate to have an incredibly experienced leadership team, combined with world-class funding partners like A16Z, Matrix Partners, DST, Ribbit Capital, and a very healthy core business with a tremendous runway. We’re growing fast and excited to bring on world-class talent to help shape the next chapter of our growth journey.
EarnIn is becoming an AI-native company, embedding AI agents into how we build, analyze, and operate across every function. Teams use AI Agents to move from ideas to execution faster. By letting agents handle repetitive tasks, our people can focus on judgment, creativity, and hard problems. We pair this experimentation with the strict review and security guardrails our regulated financial environment requires, always keeping a focus on privacy and the people who rely on our products.
As a company, we are becoming AI-native, and we encourage you to use AI tools throughout much of your interview process. If you use AI during the live interview, just say so; a quick, natural mention of how it helped and why you are using it is all we need. What we're evaluating is your judgment, reasoning, and ability to own and defend your work, not whether AI was involved. Some rounds, particularly those focused on your career history and past experiences, will not allow the use of AI, and we'll let you know of those in advance. When in doubt, ask your recruiter or interviewer directly.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior Product Manager for CoreUX, you'll help bring our mission to life, reinventing the financial system and helping our community members achieve a better financial position. You will be responsible for shaping the experience every EarnIn member has with the app, from the home screen they land on to the design system and platform performance underneath it.
You'll help carry CoreUX's shift from a team that supported other product lines to the team accountable for EarnIn's end-to-end app experience, using everything in your product toolkit to architect the product strategy, continually discover new insights, and drive execution.
The Mountain View base salary range for this full-time position is $229,000-$280,000, plus equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This is a hybrid position in Mountain View that requires in-office work 2 days a week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the home screen and core navigation experience, moving it from a static, rule-based surface to one that's ML-orchestrated, showing each member the right next step, whether that's their first Cash Out, a product they haven't discovered yet, or a fix for something broken
- Create tight feedback loops with our community members and a deep understanding of product issues and the path to resolution across every shared surface CoreUX owns
- Communicate the product vision, roadmap, and results for CoreUX's app experience, design system, and platform work to your product team, stakeholders, and executive team
- Define OKRs and set stretch goals for your product and team, in service of company-wide goals like wage access activation and design system adoption
- Raise the bar for design quality and user experience for our members, partnering closely with Design to enforce and evolve EarnIn's design system across every surface
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, researchers, and data analysts to build and scale the surfaces (home screen, navigation, discovery) that shape how members experience EarnIn as a whole
- Establish, monitor, and analyze metrics (activation, design system adoption, trust rating, platform performance) to track progress toward product goals
- Leverage user research, competitive analysis, and data to identify and prioritize new opportunities for cross-surface governance and member experience
- Champion CoreUX's shift to AI-native operations, building the automated tooling and agents that help us design, build, and catch issues faster, and use AI tools yourself to move faster from insight to spec to shipped experiment
- Design, develop, and execute features and experiments to iterate your way to the product's success rapidly, partnering with engineering on mobile and web platform delivery
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of product management on consumer products, where your users are people choosing to use the app, not businesses, admins, or internal teams
- Strong product/design sense developed by shipping delightful and innovative products. You care as much about consistency and craft as you do about growth metrics
- You've made UX calls where every option had a cost, and you can say plainly what yours cost
- Strong analytical skills in leveraging data to drive product decisions and improve key metrics
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and make informed product decisions based on technical constraints, especially around platform performance and design system architecture
- Deep user empathy and experience building products based on user needs
- Can confidently create a rapid experimentation culture to accelerate learning and iteration
- You've been in the room when product teams with competing roadmaps wanted different things, and landed a solution they could all live with
- You've changed decisions that weren't yours to make, by bringing evidence rather than escalating
- Fluent with AI tools in your own workflow, using them to accelerate research synthesis, spec writing, prototyping, and data analysis, and excited to build products that get smarter through AI, not just faster to ship
NICE TO HAVE
- Ownership of a home screen, navigation experience, feed, or promotional placement surface
- Experience with ML-powered personalization or ranking
- Experience building fintech or other regulated consumer products
- Experience with identity flows, including signup, onboarding, KYC, or authentication
