Amazon Leo Builder Product Services is seeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer to lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database environments supporting Siemens Teamcenter PLM and related platform services. You will ensure the database architecture is performant, highly available, and observable as the platform scales.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL database solutions for Teamcenter PLM and adjacent platform services across development, test, and production environments; work with Infrastructure teams on high availability, clustering, replication, and disaster recovery deployments
  • Perform day-to-day DBA responsibilities including database provisioning, user and role management, access control, capacity planning, patching, and health monitoring across both MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
  • Develop and implement database migration strategies for Teamcenter upgrades, PostgreSQL adoption initiatives, and performance optimization as the platform scales to support additional product lines and integrations
  • Design and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and queries across MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL, ensuring consistency and performance across both platforms
  • Establish best practices for MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration, backup/recovery, replication, and high availability in the context of Teamcenter's data model and enterprise integrations
