About this job
About Nooks.ai:
Nooks is an applied AI lab building revenue agents that power some of the fastest growing companies in the world. We build AI agents that operate across the full revenue lifecycle, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0→1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.
Today, over 2000 customers power their revenue growth using Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We've raised over 70M USD from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, and we have more than tripled ARR each year for 3 years running.
About the role
Nooks is hiring a Strategic Finance professional in San Francisco to turn our financials into insights & decisions. You will own the company's KPI framework, drive unit economics, manage strategic initiatives, and partner with leaders to drive results.
Working directly with the VP Finance & senior leadership, you'll lead high-impact special projects across Finance, GTM efficiency, fundraising and new initiatives. This role sits adjacent to FP&A: FP&A builds the plan, and Strategic Finance works with them on execution, insights, and strategic decision making. You’ll be hands on, given significant ownership from Day 1, and be trusted to drive real change in our next phase of electric growth.
What you'll do
Own and drive company KPIs
Own Nooks' KPI framework and drive insights. Flag risks early and partner with department leaders on the actions that move the number
Set targets with leaders and hold a regular operating cadence (monthly business reviews) that tracks progress against plan
Build the dashboards and AI-powered workflows that give leadership a single, trusted view of the business
Shape business strategy
Be a thought partner to the VP Finance and the executive team on growth strategy, capital allocation and investment trade-offs. Drive narratives.
Build unit economics by segment, customer cohort and go-to-market motion to decide where we lean in
Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Marketing on quota and capacity planning, GTM efficiency, and Pipeline analysis
Own key parts of board and investor materials, and support fundraising and investor diligence
Work with FP&A and Accounting so that variance analysis leads to decisions & action, not just explanations
Run high-impact, cross-functional projects from 0->1, including scenario planning, commissions design, pricing economics, and other initiatives
About you
4–7 years in strategic finance, FP&A or corporate finance at a high-growth SaaS or AI company
Expert financial modeling
Outcomes-focused and a track record of driving real results. You challenge assumptions and ask why
Fluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics, and how they connect to the P&L and cash
Strong written and oral executive and inter-department communication skills. You can drive a narrative and be a strong business partner
Hands-on building experience with AI tools in finance
Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills. SQL, database, and a BI tool (Looker, Power BI, Hex or similar) are a strong plus
High ownership, self-driven, and comfort in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
Experience in sales tech, GTM software or usage- and consumption-based pricing
Exposure to fundraising, board reporting or investor diligence
