  • Support the deployment of new metrology technologies, automation efforts, and fixturing solutions to improve repeatability and throughput.
  • Coach, train, and mentor technicians on GD&T interpretation, inspection techniques, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of inspection activities, nonconformances, and measurement records.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, safety, and clear communication within the team and across the factory.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient inspection environment aligned with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with inspection, metrology, and quality within a fast-paced aerospace/automotive manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of metrology operations and programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, Zeiss inspect, verisurf, or equivalent), including execution in high-mix production.
  • Proficient in GD&T with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into effective inspection strategies.
  • Experience with a variety of metrology & inspection tools, including CMMs, portable arms, laser/structured-light scanners, & conventional precision instruments (manual inspection, borescopes, comparators, etc).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve inspection, measurement, or data integrity issues quickly.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and supporting technicians hands-on as needed.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to interface effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Experience working within regulated quality systems (ISO, AS, or customer-specific requirements).
