About this job

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with over 3,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

About this Role

The Trade Desk is hiring a Vice President of Brand and Creative, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This team’s purpose is to make The Trade Desk inescapable, unmistakable, and loved. In this role, you’ll own our brand

  • Set the creative direction for the company and hold the bar for every piece of work that carries our brand.
  • Lead brand campaign strategy and development, putting campaigns in market that set us apart and shape how people think about The Trade Desk.
  • Coordinate campaigns across channels so the work shows up as one story everywhere it appears.
  • Lead our in-house copywriting, design, video, and production teams.
  • Build the creative foundations, systems, and standards that help the rest of marketing move faster and do better work.
  • Shape how we show up as a brand, so it supports our position as an industry thought leader.
  • Prove the value we create is worth more than what we spend to create it.
  • Develop the senior leaders who run these teams and make this the best place to be a creative.

What you bring

The ideal candidate brings a mix of the following experience and qualities:

  • 15+ years of brand and creative experience, including leading brand at a global technology or media company, or leading major accounts at a top agency.
  • Experience in the advertising space is ideal, with a background that could include. That could include adtech, an agency, a media company, or marketing to advertisers.
  • A proven creative leader who can set direction and raise the bar without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Experience building and running in-house creative teams across copywriting, design, video, and production.
  • A world-class storyteller with sharp instincts for what breaks through and what people remember.
  • Skill in connecting brand to business value, and comfort being measured on it.
  • A strong operator who builds systems that scale creative output without diluting quality.
  • An exceptional cross-functional partner who earns trust with sales, product, and executive stakeholders.
