Job Description

As part of Bose's Financial Planning & Analysis organization, the Director, Corporate FP&A will play a critical leadership role in connecting Bose's financial performance, outlook, and strategy. Reporting to the Vice President, FP&A, this role will lead enterprise-wide FP&A processes and provide the insights, financial perspective, and executive-level reporting that enable Bose leadership to understand performance and make informed decisions.

In this role, you will own Bose's consolidated financial planning and performance management processes, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), three-year plan, monthly performance reporting, and executive and Board financial reporting. You will work closely with FP&A leaders across Bose's business units and functions to develop an integrated enterprise financial view and serve as a key finance partner to the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership team.

You will also help advance how FP&A operates across Bose, including ownership and evolution of enterprise FP&A tools, systems, reporting, and planning capabilities. Success requires the ability to move seamlessly between financial detail and enterprise strategy, synthesize complex information into a clear point of view, and influence senior leaders through strong business judgment and financial storytelling.

If you want to help shape how Bose connects financial performance, planning, and strategy at the enterprise level, join Bose Finance!

Responsibilities

  • Lead Bose's consolidated monthly and annual FP&A close and performance management process, bringing together results across business units and functions to develop a clear enterprise view of financial performance, key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Own executive and Board financial reporting, partnering with the VP, FP&A and CFO to develop clear, concise, and decision-oriented materials that connect financial results and outlook to Bose's business performance and strategic priorities.
  • Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and three-year financial planning processes, establishing the enterprise planning framework, calendar, assumptions, deliverables, and governance required to develop an integrated company financial plan.
  • Partner with business-unit and functional FP&A leaders to consolidate and challenge forecasts and plans, evaluate underlying business drivers and assumptions, identify enterprise-level risks and opportunities, and ensure alignment between business plans and Bose's financial objectives.
  • Serve as a key finance partner to the CEO and CFO, providing analysis, insight, and an independent financial perspective to support enterprise decisions, performance discussions, and strategic priorities.
  • Lead strategic financial analysis in support of Bose's corporate strategy, including scenario modeling, investment and resource allocation decisions, business performance assessments, and other analyses that inform long-term enterprise priorities.
  • Translate complex financial and business information into clear executive-level insights and financial narratives, connecting results, business drivers, forward-looking trends, and strategic implications.
  • Establish and evolve enterprise performance reporting and KPIs, creating consistent visibility into Bose's financial performance and the operating drivers most critical to achieving short- and long-term objectives.
  • Own and advance Bose's enterprise FP&A tools and systems, including planning, forecasting, management reporting, and analytics capabilities. Partner with Finance, IT, and FP&A stakeholders to strengthen data integrity, simplify processes, improve user experience, and increase automation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across Corporate FP&A, identifying opportunities to simplify planning and reporting processes, improve forecast accuracy, reduce manual work, and increase the time FP&A teams spend on analysis and decision support.
  • Partner closely with Accounting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to ensure financial results are understood, appropriately reflected in management reporting, and translated into actionable business insights.
  • Provide leadership across the broader FP&A organization by establishing common standards, frameworks, and practices for planning, forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, and executive communication.
  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the Corporate FP&A team, building capabilities in enterprise financial analysis, strategic thinking, executive communication, financial storytelling, and business partnership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, or related disciplines, including significant experience in enterprise or corporate FP&A
