  • Guide engineering teams through complex technical challenges and ensure sound architectural and engineering decisions.
  • Contribute to the codebase as needed, delivering efficient, maintainable, secure, and well-tested solutions.
  • Establish and reinforce engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and business leaders to understand priorities and translate them into actionable technical plans.
  • Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead technical planning efforts, estimation activities, and roadmap execution.
  • Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, platform scalability, automation, and technical debt reduction.
  • Foster a healthy, collaborative, and inclusive team environment that supports engagement, accountability, and high performance.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud operations, and platform teams to ensure consistency and alignment across solutions.
  • Drive operational excellence through improved monitoring, alerting, incident management, resiliency, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Review and validate technical designs, implementation approaches, and architectural decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability.
  • Advocate for and support adoption of AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, and automation tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery velocity, engineering quality, operational efficiency, and developer experience through emerging technologies and automation.
  • Communicate technical strategy, project status, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8 or more years of software engineering experience required.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams required.
  • Strong experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and application security required.

  • Experience implementing observability, monitoring, logging, and operational support practices required.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams required.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders required.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and develop future technical leaders preferred.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, outsourced engineering teams, or strategic delivery partners preferred.
  • Familiarity with data platforms, analytics solutions, and distributed data processing technologies preferred.
