This role identifies and accelerates business opportunities, removes barriers to execution, strengthens field execution and key account management, and drives adoption of strategic initiatives that enhance customer impact and business performance.

The Field and Account Effectiveness Director translates organizational priorities into actionable field and account strategies, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders and cross-functional partners while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Area’s field and account effectiveness SME, developing standards, frameworks, and scalable solutions that improve field execution, key account management, and performance.

• Use market, customer, and performance insights to identify opportunities, anticipate risks, diagnose root causes, and advise senior leaders on consequential decisions.

• Translate long-range business objectives into actionable field, account, launch, and go-to-market strategies with clear measures of success.

• Lead complex, high-priority initiatives with broad autonomy, creating innovative approaches that may establish precedent or scale across regions.

• Serve as the Area's primary liaison to the National Sales Strategy & Operations lead, driving alignment, execution, and adoption of national initiatives and strategic priorities.

• Act as a senior consultant and integrator across field leadership, Strategy & Operations, and cross-functional teams to resolve competing priorities and align stakeholders.

• Build field and account-management capability through consultation, education, tools, best-practice sharing, and regular field engagement.

• Define performance indicators, evaluate impact, and recommend corrective actions that strengthen accountability and execution discipline.

• Represent the Area on significant internal and external matters related to field and account effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree/MBA with 10+ years, in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, sales, commercial operations, marketing, or a related field.

• Minimum 3+ years of people-leadership experience, with demonstrated success coaching and developing high-performing teams.

• Recognized expertise in field and account effectiveness, key account management, commercial excellence, sales performance, account strategy, or a related discipline, including developing standards and novel applications.

• Demonstrated success using data, analysis, creativity, and sound judgment to solve complex or unprecedented problems and improve commercial performance.

• Ability to operate with broad consultative direction, initiate work independently, and deliver long-range goals with minimal supervision.

• Strong business acumen and judgment in shaping recommendations that affect financial performance, employees, customers, or organizational reputation.

• Demonstrated executive effectiveness, including communicating complex issues clearly, enabling timely decisions, aligning diverse stakeholders, and credibly representing the organization.

• Proven ability to translate strategy into action, lead change, prioritize competing initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.

• Field-based leadership and HIV, specialty pharmaceutical, or launch experience preferred.

• Ability to travel regularly to engage with field teams, customers, and cross-functional partners.

Success Measures:

• Achievement of Area performance objectives and measurable contribution to major organizational goals.

• Improved field and account effectiveness, key account management, execution discipline, and customer impact.

• Successful delivery of launch, go-to-market, and other strategic priorities.

• Adoption and measurable effectiveness of scalable field and account standards, tools, and processes.

• Quality and impact of business insights, risk identification, and recommendations.

• Cross-functional alignment, stakeholder influence, capability development, and field engagement.
