About this job
About the Role
Join an early-stage B2B SaaS pricing company as a hands-on product engineer, owning complete product areas from customer discovery through launch and iteration. You will shape the architecture and engineering practices behind AI-driven pricing and monetization tools, where reliable financial logic and useful agent-driven workflows are essential.
What You'll Do
Scope product needs with customers, design versioned APIs, build user interfaces, and deliver complete product modules.
Design and evolve systems for AI-driven workflows across web applications, conversational interfaces, and third-party integrations.
Make product features usable by LLM agents through MCP-compatible services and other agent tooling.
Move pricing and business logic into backend services to support accurate, dependable financial calculations.
Extend typed data models for pricing concepts and develop maintainable APIs and services.
Establish testing, observability, deployment, and performance practices for production systems.
Lead technical discussions, mentor teammates, and investigate production issues with a focus on root causes.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including startup experience and staff-level ownership of product areas.
Strong backend skills with production experience in Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB or a comparable stack.
Practical React and TypeScript experience, including independently shipping polished user interfaces.
Experience taking ambiguous customer problems from scoping through delivery, including designing versioned APIs and data models.
Background integrating AI features or agent-driven workflows; MCP-like tooling experience is a plus.
Familiarity with B2B SaaS monetization, such as pricing, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
High standards for correctness in financial logic and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
