About this job
Full Stack Engineer | Nox Metals | Los Angeles, CA
About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company with operations in Ferndale, Michigan and Los Angeles, supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.
The role. We’re hiring Full Stack Engineers to build the software that connects quoting, inventory, purchasing, production, shipping, and the customer experience. You will own complete workflows from the browser to the database and spend time with the people who use them.
Our best engineers do not wait for perfect specifications. They learn the operation, identify the real constraint, build a practical solution, and measure whether it worked.
You will:
· Design and ship customer-facing and internal web applications
· Build clear interfaces, reliable APIs, and durable data models
· Work directly with salespeople, operators, and manufacturing teams to understand workflows
· Turn ambiguous operational problems into small, testable product releases
· Improve performance, reliability, testing, observability, and developer tooling
· Investigate production issues and own fixes through deployment
· Simplify systems and retire unnecessary complexity
· Review code and help raise the engineering standard
· Measure whether shipped work improves speed, accuracy, or customer experience
You are:
· Strong across both front-end and back-end development
· Product-minded and interested in how users actually work
· Comfortable owning a feature from discovery through production support
· Able to reason carefully about data, state, and business rules
· Fast without being careless
· A clear communicator who works well across technical and operational teams
· Curious, practical, and comfortable learning unfamiliar domains
· Someone who takes responsibility when a system does not behave as expected
Nice to have:
· Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, or PostgreSQL
· Experience with manufacturing, logistics, inventory, or B2B commerce systems
· Experience building data-intensive or real-time operational tools
· Comfort using AI tools to build, test, and investigate software
Benefits:
· Equity in Nox Metals
· Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
This role is full time, in person in Los Angeles.
