Home Office Research & Due Diligence, AVP – US Wealth

State Street Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated Home Office Research & Due Diligence, AVP, to join our National Accounts team within the US Wealth sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and advancing product onboarding, research placement, due diligence, and model allocation opportunities across key intermediary platforms, while supporting broader National Accounts priorities across the US Wealth business.

You will partner closely with National Account Managers, home office research and due diligence teams, and internal investment and product partners to understand client needs, navigate platform requirements, and identify opportunities across ETFs, model portfolios, and other SSIM investment solutions.

Due to the role requirements, this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

As Home Office Research & Due Diligence, you will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with home office research, due diligence, and investment teams, developing a strong understanding of each firm’s investment process, platform requirements, product priorities, and portfolio construction approach.
  • Coordinate ticker-specific onboarding and expansion opportunities, supporting due diligence requirements, data delivery, internal approvals, and product positioning.
  • Prepare due diligence materials and coordinate responses to client research requests, helping advance SSIM products onto recommended, focus, and other firm-specific lists.
  • Support National Account Managers and senior Home Office Research & Due Diligence colleagues on larger, more strategic relationships by coordinating research initiatives, product reviews, and platform opportunities.
  • Partner with National Account Managers, Regional Consultants, Product, Capital Markets, Marketing, and Business Intelligence to deliver coordinated coverage and ensure research activity supports broader account and sales priorities.
  • Develop client presentations, investment reviews, product comparisons, and other research-ready content that clearly communicates SSIM's investment philosophy, performance, positioning, and competitive advantages.
  • Monitor platform developments, competitive activity, and industry trends, helping identify new opportunities and providing support for business planning and sales initiatives.
  • Contribute to firm-specific strategies to maximize the SSIM opportunity set, helping prioritize products and investment solutions based on client needs, platform dynamics, and potential commercial impact.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Series 7 and 63/65 licenses required
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred, ideally in asset management, intermediary due diligence, platform onboarding, product management, or a related role
  • CFA, CIMA or other relevant investment industry designation preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of intermediary distribution and home office research and due diligence processes, including product onboarding, investment research, platform requirements, model portfolio construction, and manager selection frameworks
  • Familiarity with ETFs and model portfolios, along with a strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, with the ability to communicate investment capabilities and positioning effectively to clients
  • Proven ability to build client relationships, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization and collaborate across sales and cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a demonstrated interest in developing deeper sales, relationship management, and investment expertise
