About this job

Who We Are Looking For

State Street is seeking an experienced Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Analyst to support our Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, with a focus on access certification optimization and SailPoint application onboarding. This role will drive improvements in entitlement certification effectiveness and efficiency while supporting the integration, onboarding, and governance of applications and entitlement data within the SailPoint platform.

The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders to improve entitlement governance by identifying birthright access, rationalizing entitlements, and implementing scalable certification processes. Additionally, the candidate will work with application owners and technical teams to onboard applications into SailPoint, enabling automated provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and compliance controls through integrations such as Active Directory groups, flat files, databases, and RESTful APIs.

This role requires a strong combination of IAM governance knowledge, SailPoint experience, analytical skills, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Drive continuous improvement of access certification processes to enhance review quality, reduce effort, and strengthen compliance outcomes.
  • Partner with business units to analyze entitlement models and identify opportunities for birthright access, role optimization, entitlement rationalization, and certification efficiencies.
  • Develop certification metrics, reporting, and governance recommendations to improve certification effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with application owners and technical teams to understand access models, entitlements, and provisioning/deprovisioning processes.
  • Assess and support the onboarding of applications and entitlement data into SailPoint using appropriate integration methods.
  • Guide application teams through SailPoint onboarding standards, governance requirements, and best practices.
  • Configure, test, and support application onboarding activities throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
  • Support integrations leveraging Active Directory, databases, flat files, and RESTful/Web APIs.
  • Ensure IAM controls, certification requirements, and compliance standards are incorporated into onboarding activities.
  • Support UAT activities, issue resolution, and post-onboarding governance processes.
  • Track onboarding efforts through JIRA and maintain project documentation in Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Produce status reports, metrics, and executive-level updates on certification and onboarding initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for SailPoint onboarding, entitlement governance, and IAM best practices.

What We Value

  • Strong knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ, Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow), or similar IGA platforms.
  • Experience with access certifications, entitlement governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and least-privilege principles.
  • Familiarity with application onboarding, entitlement management, and access governance processes.
  • Experience with integrations using REST APIs, web services, Active Directory, databases, and flat-file interfaces.
  • Ability to analyze entitlement structures and identify opportunities to improve certification efficiency and governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and utilizing JIRA for project and workflow management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • 3 – 5 year of access certification experience and access certification improvements
  • 3–5 years of experience in SailPoint application integration, onboarding, or administration.
  • 3–5 years of experience within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications with SailPoint or comparable IGA solutions.
  • Experience working with APIs, identity data feeds, access provisioning, and entitlement management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience using JIRA or comparable Agile project management and ticketing platforms.
  • 1–2 years of experience utilizing Confluence and/or SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD/Entra ID, and enterprise authentication technologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale IAM transformation or technology modernization initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer, SailPoint IdentityNow certification, CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are a plus.
