- Provide technical leadership and mentorship that strengthens engineering quality, architecture discipline, and delivery practices.
- Help bring smart home water products from concept through launch while building for long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Support connected products in market by guiding enhancements, optimizations, updates, and ongoing technical improvements.
- Contribute to engineering standards, including architecture decision records, design documentation, coding standards, reusable frameworks, and secure development practices.
- Partner with DevOps on deployment models, observability, reliability, incident response, and production support considerations.
- Ensure digital solutions are designed with performance, security, compliance, and long-term product value in mind.
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating customer feedback, product learnings, and operational insights into future development.
- You may be a great fit for this role if you’re a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex system challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and building connected experiences that improve everyday life.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with increasing responsibility across complex, end-to-end connected products and IoT-enabled solutions.
- Experience developing software for core IoT product capabilities, including mobile and cloud applications, connectivity technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and Thread, cybersecurity practices, over-the-air updates, and IoT data modeling.
- Experience designing scalable, secure architectures across cloud, mobile, and device ecosystems.
- Experience managing cloud application performance, observability, scalability, and cost optimization in modern cloud environments.
- Track record of leading continuous improvement efforts driven by customer feedback and user experience insights.
- Experience partnering closely with embedded software and firmware development teams to deliver integrated product solutions.
- Experience delivering consumer mobile applications, including application architecture, release management, and deployment through Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Experience working with smart home and home automation ecosystems, including platforms such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, or similar environments.
