About this job

Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain, from clinical development to clinical care. For Life Sciences partners, we offer the leading at-home EEG platform for clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our Diagnostics business is building the most comprehensive at-home platform for precision diagnostics, combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals to deliver reimbursable assessments for sleep and central nervous system disorders. Together, we're changing the way patients are diagnosed and treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.

The Logistics & Demand Planning Director leads the end‑to‑end forecasting, scenario modeling, and capacity alignment processes across the logistics network supporting Life Sciences and Diagnostics for the Beacon Biosignals business units. This leader ensures that demand signals are accurate, capacity constraints are visible, and supply chain decisions are data‑driven, compliant, and optimized for patient availability, cost, and operational efficiency.

This role is 100% remote from anywhere in the U.S. Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York and Paris.

What success looks like:

Demand Planning & Forecast Ownership

  • Own the unconstrained demand plan for Life Sciences projects and Diagnostics products, integrating CRM data , manufacturing forecasts, and cross‑functional inputs.
  • Lead monthly Demand Review and consensus alignment across Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Finance, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, volatility, and demand signal quality; drive continuous improvement.

Capacity Planning & Network Optimization

  • Lead global capacity modeling across distribution centers, 3PLs, packaging sites, and transportation lanes.
  • Identify constraints and trade‑off decisions, and align capacity utilization with revenue expectations and customer commitments.
  • Partner with Life Sciences, Diagnostics hardware manufacturing, 1PL, and 3PL logistics teams to ensure capacity readiness for clinical trials and Diagnostics market expansions.
  • Develop long‑range capacity strategies to support growth, regulatory changes, and technology enablement.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Mature and govern the S&OP process, ensuring clear decision rights, escalation paths, and executive visibility.
  • Reconcile unconstrained demand with constrained supply to support executive decision‑making.
  • Lead cross‑functional forums to align demand, inventory, capacity, and financial targets.

Inventory & Logistics Strategy

  • Partner with Supply Planning to set safety stock strategies based on forecast variability and risk.
  • Oversee inventory positioning, replenishment frequency, and site‑to‑site transfer strategies for clinical and commercial materials.
  • Ensure logistics capacity (transportation, warehousing) aligns with demand and regulatory requirements.

Data, Systems & Analytics Leadership

  • Drive planning data discipline: master data integrity, lead times, planning parameters, and system utilization.
  • Champion advanced analytics, AI‑enabled forecasting, and digital planning tools.
  • Build dashboards and KPIs to monitor forecast reliability, capacity utilization, inventory performance, and service levels.

Cross‑Functional & External Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Life Sciences, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Diagnostic teams.
  • Manage relationships with 3PLs, packaging vendors, and distribution partners to ensure alignment on demand and capacity.
  • Provide planning leadership for clinical studies, global launches, and major supply chain initiatives.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate supply‑demand gaps, capacity risks, and logistics bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP and global regulatory requirements across planning and logistics processes.
  • Lead scenario planning for temperature excursions, supply disruptions, geopolitical risks, and market volatility.

What you will bring:

  • Years of experience: 10–15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device supply chain, with expertise in demand planning, capacity planning, or logistics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Traits and behaviors: Strategic thinker with the ability to translate data into decisions. Skilled at navigating ambiguity, volatility, and complex cross‑functional environments. Strong operational discipline with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of GxP/GDP, clinical supply chain, and regulated distribution networks.
  • S&OP leadership: Demonstrated leadership in S&OP processes.
  • Systems: Proficiency with advanced forecasting tools, ERP/APS systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive‑level influencing skills.
