Build and activate external engagement
- Support proactive and reactive media relations, including identifying story opportunities, engaging journalists, preparing spokespeople and coordinating interviews.
- Help identify and engage credible third-party voices, including healthcare professionals, patient advocates and digital influencers.
- Collaborate with agency partners to develop creative approaches to reaching and engaging priority audiences.
Collaborate across the business
- Work closely with colleagues across Product Public Relations, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, global colleagues and other functions.
- Participate in cross-functional planning and execution to ensure communications are aligned, coordinated and impactful.
- Help manage reviews and approvals, ensuring materials meet Genentech’s standards for accuracy, compliance and quality.
Drive measurement, innovation and operational excellence
- Support the measurement and evaluation of communications effectiveness, using insights to inform future planning and optimize performance.
- Look beyond traditional reach metrics to understand audience engagement, message resonance and broader communications impact.
- Explore emerging tools, technologies and AI-enabled approaches to strengthen communications development, execution and measurement.
- Support agency coordination, project timelines, budgets and other operational activities to ensure high-quality execution.
Who You Are
You are an emerging communications professional with strong writing skills, intellectual curiosity and a passion for translating complex information into stories that make an impact.
