About this job
Are you an exceptional marketing leader who knows how to bring a compelling offering to market and drive meaningful adoption? Amazon's eXperiences & Upskilling (AXU) organization is looking for a Marketing Leader to build and drive marketing across AXU, growing awareness and engagement for our programs with audiences around the world.
AXU's mission is to help customers, employees, and communities grow, thrive, and connect with Amazon. This role is the marketing arm of that mission. You market the full landscape of programs that help people grow, thrive, and connect, some built and scaled by AXU and others owned by teams across Amazon that we partner with to raise awareness. You bring these offerings to market for employees, customers, and community members worldwide, building the awareness, engagement, and momentum that move people to act.
In this role you will own end-to-end marketing strategy for AXU, from positioning and messaging to the campaigns that land our programs globally. You think and act both strategically and tactically, from multi-year brand strategy to the brass tacks of a campaign in flight. You bring deep expertise in how to market and scale campaigns, drive reach and impact, and connect marketing investment to measurable adoption and engagement. You work backwards from the audience, pair creative instinct with analytical rigor, and move with a strong sense of ownership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
This is an AI-native role by design, and we are looking for someone with experience using AI to reimagine marketing workflows across audience research, content, campaign operations, and performance analysis. You report to the Director and start as an individual contributor, with the opportunity to build and lead a small team over time.
Key job responsibilities
- Own AXU's marketing strategy: positioning, messaging, audience segmentation, and brand architecture, voice, and governance for AXU programs globally, including our upskilling initiatives.
- Market the full range of ways Amazon helps people grow, thrive, and connect, building integrated campaigns for both AXU programs and partner-team offerings that drive awareness and action across employees, customers, and community members worldwide.
- Define the metrics that matter and connect marketing investment to measurable adoption, engagement, and sentiment, using data to drive decisions and raise the bar.
- Own end-to-end campaign architecture: audience, channel mix, sequencing, and timing across digital, content, events, and other channels.
- Reimagine how marketing gets done with AI, building repeatable, and scalable mechanisms.
- Partner with teams across AXU and the broader Amazon organization to amplify their offerings and drive a coherent brand and message about how Amazon helps people grow, thrive, and connect.
About the team
The mission of Amazon Experiences and Upskilling (AXU) is to help customers, employees, and communities grow, thrive, and connect with Amazon. Across Amazon, every business builds these experiences, from selling and delivering to upskilling and career pathways. AXU works across all of them to connect the dots so people can discover every path available to them, and ensure those paths reach everyone.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- Demonstrated AI fluency: a track record of using AI as a thought partner to rethink how marketing is done, reimagining workflows rather than simply accelerating the existing path.
- A track record of operating independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and building capabilities from zero.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or Advanced degree
- Experience driving marketing for initiatives of significant scale and investment, such as large populations, major budgets, and enterprise-wide impact. We care more about the scale and complexity you have operated at than the specific domain.
- Experience defining brand strategy, architecture, and voice within a broader brand ecosystem.
- Strong financial and resource acumen: comfort with large budgets, investment trade-offs, and ROI-based prioritization.
- A track record of driving change across a large, matrixed organization through influence rather than authority.
- Experience building and leading a team, growing from an individual contributor to a people leader.
