About this job
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Practice Marketing, this is a highly visible role that works directly with senior leadership and advisor teams across the firm. We are seeking a strategic, self-directed Marketing Manager who can operate as both a trusted advisor and executional partner for our advisor teams. This role requires someone who combines strong business acumen with a proactive, hands-on approach, is able to see the big picture, takes ownership, and moves initiatives forward.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of marketing experience within professional or financial services and a demonstrated ability to translate business goals into integrated marketing strategies and measurable results. This person will be equally comfortable advising senior stakeholders and rolling up their sleeves to assist in campaign execution.
Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and an instinct for anticipating needs before they arise.
Primary Responsibilities
Advisor Team Partnership
- Serve as a trusted marketing advisor and hands-on partner to advisor teams, helping them define goals, prioritize initiatives, and execute programs that drive measurable growth.
- Lead and facilitate planning sessions to uncover business objectives, target audiences, and growth opportunities, then translate those discussions into clear, actionable marketing plans.
- Develop and manage annual marketing plans that combine strategic focus with tactical execution, ensuring all initiatives tie directly to firm and advisor business goals.
- Partner with advisors on campaign execution, including content development, email and social campaigns, events, and client communications, while maintaining strategic alignment and brand consistency.
- Anticipate needs and proactively suggest new marketing ideas, events, and client/COI engagement opportunities based on market trends, advisor priorities and best practices occurring on other advisor teams.
- Maintain ongoing accountability for results, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies to optimize outcomes.
Integrated Marketing & Campaigns
- In partnership with the advisor teams, quarterback the end-to-end development of integrated marketing initiatives across digital, social, content, and events.
- Partner with internal CP teams to coordinate deliverables, timelines, and quality control across multiple concurrent projects.
- Use data and analytics to measure engagement, demonstrate ROI, and continuously improve marketing efforts.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity, bringing fresh, high-value ideas to advisor teams and firm leadership.
Content & Knowledge Management
- Act as a connector between advisor teams and the firmwide marketing function, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and best practices.
- Maintain deep understanding of the wealth management and financial advisory landscape, client expectations, and marketing compliance considerations.
- Manage and refresh materials within the Marketing Content Library, ensuring all content is accurate, current, and optimized for advisor use.
- Capture successful campaigns, case studies, and marketing wins to share firmwide and replicate across markets.
- Perform ad hoc projects for Director of Practice Marketing as required.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive marketing experience in professional or financial services.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives that align with firmwide goals and deliver measurable business results.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
Strategic & Advisory Skills
- Proven ability to own and drive marketing strategy from concept through execution, connecting tactics across digital, content, event, and social channels to overall strategy.
- Confident advisor to senior stakeholders, with the ability to challenge assumptions and guide direction.
- Self-starter who anticipates needs, takes ownership, and moves initiatives forward without waiting for direction.
- Comfortable leading cross-functional discussions, influencing outcomes, and holding others accountable to deadlines and quality standards.
Technology, Analytics & Reporting
- Hands-on experience managing CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience building performance reports that link marketing activity to revenue, KPIs, and client engagement, and translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
Communication & Project Management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a record of managing multiple priorities and maintaining momentum in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree or MBA
- Direct experience in wealth management or financial advisory, or familiarity with the wealth management landscape.
