This role requires a highly motivated, resourceful, and analytically rigorous professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of complex challenges, and continuously seeks more efficient and innovative ways to deliver results.

What you'll do

  • Drive portfolio and production analytics across mortgage originations, pipeline performance, portfolio composition, client behavior, and profitability.
  • Deliver actionable business insights by identifying key trends, performance drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
  • Support CCAR and regulatory reporting, including portfolio data analysis, stress-testing inputs, forecasting, data validation, and coordination with Finance, Risk, and regulatory reporting teams.
  • Develop and enhance analytical capabilities, including financial models, forecasting tools, dashboards, and management reporting to support strategic, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows, accelerate analysis, strengthen data quality and controls, and build scalable analytical solutions.
  • Partner across Pricing, Sales, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Product, and Technology to support business initiatives, capital planning processes, and senior management decisions.
  • Lead complex, ad hoc analyses with limited direction, translating ambiguous business questions into structured, data-driven recommendations.
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies, enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, transparency, and scalability of analytical and regulatory reporting processes.

What sets you apart

  • Ownership and initiative – Proactively identify opportunities, take accountability, and drive initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability – Navigate ambiguity, overcome obstacles, and independently develop practical solutions.
  • Analytical rigor – Demonstrate strong quantitative reasoning, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to connect detailed analysis with broader business objectives.
  • AI and technology fluency – Actively leverage emerging technologies and modern analytical tools to improve productivity, automate processes, and expand analytical capabilities.
  • Execution excellence – Operate with urgency, sound judgment, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently.
  • Commercial acumen – Understand the underlying drivers of business performance and translate data into meaningful strategic insights.
  • Effective communication – Present complex findings clearly and concisely, influencing stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
  • Continuous improvement mindset – Consistently challenge conventional approaches and seek smarter, faster, and more scalable ways of working.

Qualifications & experience

  • 7+ years of experience in mortgage banking, financial services, portfolio analytics, business analytics, or related quantitative roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, origination dynamics, portfolio performance, and financial drivers preferred.
  • Experience with CCAR, stress testing, regulatory reporting, or capital planning processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, profitability analysis, forecasting, and large-scale data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI and automation tools to enhance analytical workflows, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable productivity gains.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to independently structure complex analyses and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and consistently deliver results in a dynamic environment.
