About this job
About the Company
Valon is the leading AI platform for mortgage servicing, building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance.
Before providing the system of record that powers the entire industry, we built and ran our own mortgage servicer on it. That gave us a real regulated environment to prove our technology could replace the mainframe systems servicers have used for decades. Carrington acquired that servicer and adopted ValonOS as its core platform, allowing us to focus entirely on scaling our SaaS platform.
ValonOS is now on track to power 1 in 6 U.S. mortgages across major mortgage servicers like Newrez, Carrington, and ServiceMac. Every process on the platform is structured and programmable, enabling our AI agents to perform core servicing work, like handling payments, escrow, and homeowner questions, directly within the system's controls.
We recently raised a $150 million Series D at a $2.3 billion valuation by new investor Ribbit Capital, with continued support from existing backer a16z, amongst others.
About the Team
The Product Strategist team comprises mortgage industry veterans who combine deep industry knowledge with intimate familiarity with Valon’s proprietary SaaS platform to deliver success for our end customers. We act as the bridge between our customers and Valon’s R&D teams, ensuring seamless adoption of our software within the customer’s servicing operations. The Product Strategist team is key to translating our product into real-world impact – bridging complex operational needs with Valon’s best-in-class servicing system.
This role will focus on Foreclosure & Bankruptcy processes.
About the Role

You’ll drive engagements with customers, all the way from the opening sales pitch to implementation to post-launch success. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-impact solutions. This is a hybrid role blending project management, problem-solving, and strategic collaboration.
Responsibilities
Act as a mortgage servicing subject matter expert to help shape business requirements that ultimately become product features.
Engage with clients across the deployment cycle — from sales demos to enablement to product support.
Serve as a product expert; educate clients on how to use Valon’s system successfully.
Understand client needs and tailor solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with tech teams (Product, Engineering, Ops) to translate feedback into feature requests and platform improvements.
Travel as needed (approx. 25–50%) to support client implementations.
Ideal Background
10+ years of mortgage servicing experience, with strong domain knowledge of most mortgage servicing industry concepts.
Direct experience managing the technical and operational implementation of a new servicing system.
Prior experience with Foreclosure & Bankruptcy preferred.
Client-facing experience.
Who You Are
High-agency and proactive—you drive progress and solve problems independently.
Technically capable—you enjoy building, debugging, and optimizing workflows.
Customer-focused—you can navigate complex client environments and deliver results.
Collaborative and adaptable—you’re comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Entrepreneurial—you think like an owner and are excited to build processes from the ground up.
