About this job

Amazon Leo is building the world's most advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the globe. As part of this mission, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Technical (PMT) to define product requirements, lead feature alignment and drive roadmap planning with NTN Handset OEMs globally. You will bridge the gap between engineering teams across satellite RAN, Core, and industry-leading 5G Handsets to ensure we seamlessly connect people anywhere on Earth.

This role requires deep technical mastery of 3GPP control and user plane protocols, extensive experience with 4G/5G Handset launch, product lifecycle and device portfolio management, and the ability to translate customer experiences and user stories into detailed product requirements. The Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT) will be at the forefront of defining NTN device requirements and building 0-to-1 satellite systems for consumer, business, and government customers globally.

  • Work closely with Amazon Leo engineering teams, Payload Integration Test (PIT) and telco MNO/Device/Chipset partners to define, build and test 3GPP-compliant protocol layers, ensuring deterministic behavior, low latency, and high reliability for satellite-based connectivity and TN-NTN mobility. Lead by example with systems thinking to solve problems.
  • Stay current with 3GPP releases, industry trends, and evolving NTN deployment models to guide long-term product strategy aligned to Amazon Leo’s roadmap.
  • Write and present technical documents (6-pagers, PR/FAQs, BRDs, PRDs) to senior leadership.

  • Be a seasoned product leader with a demonstrated history of leading product strategy, technology solutions, data analytics, and customer experience.
  • Thrive on ambiguity and have a track record of delivering large-scale technology products and/or led large operational or technical teams.
  • Lead large, global, and complex technology initiatives in a large business unit, working cross-functionally with several business and technical teams.
  • The ability to think and move quickly and is inspired to build mechanisms to simplify and continuously innovate.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
