This role is ideal for a technical leader with strong power electronics expertise, proven people leadership, and the ability to align customer needs, product strategy, and engineering execution across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of applications engineers supporting power uModule products, including hiring, coaching, performance management, technical mentoring, and career development.

  • Set team priorities and resource plans to support new product development, customer engagements, technical escalations, evaluation platforms, and business-critical programs.

  • Drive application engineering strategy for power module solutions, ensuring strong execution across product definition, validation, documentation, customer support, and commercialization.

  • Partner with product line management, design engineering, product engineering, marketing, sales, FAEs, and key customers to identify market needs and translate them into product and application requirements.

  • Guide new product investigations, specification definition, evaluation planning, and release readiness for advanced power module products and system-level solutions.

  • Support strategic customer engagements and visits across industrial, datacenter, aerospace, and other high-growth applications.

  • Lead resolution of complex technical issues, including power attach, converter performance, and failure analysis support.

  • Drive development of technical collateral including reference designs, design tools, application notes, training materials, customer presentations, conference papers, and tradeshow demonstrations.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive technologies, and customer architecture shifts to influence roadmap priorities and expand ADI’s uModule business opportunity.

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and innovation within the applications engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MSEE in power electronics or related engineering discipline; PhD preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in power electronics, power management, applications engineering, product engineering, or related technical leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or mentoring technical teams, with a track record of developing engineering talent and driving execution through others in the manager role.

  • Deep hands-on expertise in designing, building, testing, and optimizing switching-mode power supplies, especially DC-DC converters.

  • Strong understanding of analog circuits, power converter topologies, control loop design, compensation, static and dynamic performance optimization, EMI, thermal design, and system-level power architecture.

  • Proven experience supporting key customers throughout the product lifecycle, from early architecture discussions and evaluation through qualification, production release, and sustaining support.

  • Experience with design, simulation, and analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, executive presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading cross-functional programs involving product definition, new product development, customer adoption, and revenue growth.

  • Strong knowledge of power module technologies, multiphase buck converters, high-current POL solutions, 48 V or higher-voltage architectures, isolated power, low-noise or low-EMI design, and high-power-density systems.

  • Direct experience with schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, bench validation, failure analysis, and customer board-level troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with analog IC design, advanced packaging, magnetics, thermal modeling, parasitic extraction, and reliability considerations for power module products.

  • Experience with digital power interfaces and communication protocols such as I2C and PMBus.
