About this job
About Wonder
Everything’s on the menu at Wonder. Except compromise.
Wonder is the mealtime platform built to feed every craving in one order. With Wonder, you can mix and match hundreds of dishes from 20+ exclusive restaurants in a single order, so everyone gets exactly what they’re craving. Behind the scenes, Wonder owns and operates every step of the dining experience, from recipe development to the technology that powers our experience, allowing us to deliver quality, variety, and consistency at scale.
Join us as we work to make great food more accessible.
*Portfolio required for consideration*
The Impact You Will Make
- Own design for key product areas across the Wonder Group, from framing the problem to shipping polished work on web, mobile, and in-store
- Turn customer needs and business goals into thoughtful solutions, holding a high bar for craft, usability, and customer and business impact
- Bring research, data, and product intuition together to make confident decisions and ship designs that perform
- Work alongside the team to define how we design with AI, from the tools and workflows we use to the standards that keep our quality high
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of product design experience, including shipping features in consumer apps used at scale
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft and product sense, and makes the thinking behind your decisions clear
- Range across the product lifecycle: you’re as comfortable shipping a scrappy MVP to test a new idea as you are refining an existing flow, balancing speed with craft
- Experience facilitating UX research, such as usability tests and interviews
- Strong systems thinking: you understand how one change ripples across the whole experience, and you help keep our design system coherent as the product grows
- We’re tool agnostic and care most about what you ship. Today we design in Figma and AI prototyping and coding tools, so we expect you to be proficient with both and to have a point of view on how AI is changing design
- Exceptional creativity and a deep passion for product design: you push past the obvious by default, geek out over everything from a tiny micro-interaction to a smart information architecture decision, and keep up with the best teams, our competitors, and how AI and agents are changing the way people order food
- High agency and strong opinions, loosely held (a job-description cliché for good reason): you fix gaps in the experience without waiting to be asked, explain the reasoning behind your decisions, and actively seek feedback while knowing which input to act on
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for marketplace, food/delivery, e-commerce, or other high-frequency transactional consumer products
- Experience contributing to or building a design system across web and mobile
- Experience designing for both digital and physical/in-store touchpoints
- Curiosity about people, food, and how the world eats. No food background needed, though foodies are encouraged
New York Base Salary: $138,000 - $145,500.
