The Senior Digital Experience Designer is a hands-on visual web designer responsible for creating compelling marketing and e-commerce experiences for att.com. This designer works within an established component-based web design system, using reusable components and patterns to create responsive, mobile-first landing pages, promotional experiences, campaign pages, and commerce experiences.

This is not a traditional product design, UX research, or print design role. We are looking for a designer with strong visual craft and experience designing consumer-facing marketing and e-commerce websites, ideally in an agency, in-house creative, retail, telecom, technology, or other high-volume digital environment.

The ideal candidate understands how to translate marketing strategy, product offers, promotional messaging, imagery, typography, and calls to action into polished digital experiences that tell a compelling story and help move customers toward conversion.

Primary responsibilities

  • Concept and design digital marketing and e-commerce experiences across AT&T digital platforms, with a primary focus on att.com.
  • Create component-based, responsive web page designs using established design-system components, patterns, templates, and modules.
  • Design campaign landing pages, promotional pages, offer experiences, product storytelling, and other conversion-oriented web experiences across desktop and mobile.
  • Translate marketing objectives and complex product offers into clear visual hierarchy, page composition, messaging flow, and calls to action.
  • Apply strong visual-design fundamentals including typography, imagery, composition, spacing, color, and hierarchy to create beautifully crafted digital experiences.
  • Produce creative within established AT&T brand guidelines while finding opportunities to elevate the brand through digital execution.
  • Composite and retouch imagery to create polished marketing environments and campaign assets.
  • Partner closely with marketers, strategists, producers, copywriters, design leads, and content implementation teams from concept through launch.
  • Design within the capabilities and constraints of an established web component/design system, recommending improvements when new marketing needs emerge.
  • Work closely with implementation teams to ensure approved designs translate accurately into production.
  • Perform visual QA using browser tools such as Chrome DevTools/Inspect to validate layout, spacing, typography, imagery, and responsive behavior.
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of reusable components, templates, patterns, and digital design best practices.

Core requirements & competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual communication, digital design, advertising, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on digital/web design experience, preferably within an advertising agency, in-house creative agency, e-commerce organization, or consumer brand.
  • A portfolio demonstrating consumer-facing marketing websites, e-commerce experiences, campaign landing pages, or promotional digital experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience designing with reusable web components or established design systems.
  • Strong portfolio examples showing sophisticated visual hierarchy, typography, layout, imagery, brand storytelling, and responsive/mobile-first design.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma and Photoshop, including component libraries, variants, layouts, and digital production workflows.
  • Strong Photoshop skills, including image compositing and retouching, with experience using tools such as Adobe Firefly for image alteration.
  • Experience designing responsive experiences across desktop and mobile breakpoints.
  • Ability to create wireframes when needed to establish page structure and content hierarchy.
  • Working understanding of HTML and CSS and how design decisions translate into browser-based experiences.
  • Comfortable using Chrome DevTools/Inspect for visual QA.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and their application to digital visual design.
  • Ability to balance brand storytelling, customer experience, business objectives, and conversion goals.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and explain creative decisions to partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple marketing initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with Workfront or a similar project-management platform.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing for e-commerce, retail, telecom, technology, or another large-scale consumer website.
  • Experience working within a mature component-based design system or CMS-driven web environment.
  • Experience partnering directly with developers or content implementation teams through production and launch.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Firefly, Claude, GPT, After Effects, motion, 3D, video, or interactive prototyping.
