Job Description:
We are seeking a transformative, results-driven leader to serve as Senior Director of Competitive and Solutions Marketing. You will architect and guide our centralized intelligence ecosystem, establishing an enterprise-wide source of truth for market conditions, competitive dynamics, growth opportunities, and market response. You will help shape the company's understanding of market opportunities, competition, emerging technology shifts, and investment priorities[WA4.1][RM4.2]. The role will deliver independent, fact-based market perspectives that influence enterprise planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
This is not a traditional reporting or analytics role. You will lead the evolution of market intelligence, shifting our capability from static, reactive dashboards to an AI-enabled strategic advisory and market response engine.
In this role, you will combine deep human judgment with AI capabilities. You will partner closely with IT to define the business architecture and product requirements for the intelligence system. You will also cultivate a collaborative Intelligence Community that breaks down information silos across departments. By using agentic tools for first-draft synthesis and continuous signal sensing, you will free the team to focus on strategic counsel, objective stress-testing of proposals, and faster, higher-value contributions to decisions across planning cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ongoing market and competitive analysis, including positioning, market sizing, forecasting, and emerging industry trends; clarify complex market shifts and identify forward-looking opportunities.
- Independently stress-test strategic assumptions, growth forecasts, total addressable market estimates, and competitive assessments.
- Define and lead Intel's vision for AI-enabled market intelligence, using agentic workflows, automated synthesis, predictive modeling, and decision-support systems to increase the speed, scale, and impact of intelligence across the enterprise. Partner with business stakeholders, IT, and external providers to define requirements.
- Develop market responses that position and differentiate Intel's products and solutions. Establish simple mechanisms for sharing customer and partner feedback and equip teams to use AI to analyze information and communicate findings clearly.
- Lead, mentor, and evolve a high-caliber team of data scientists and technical marketers, shifting traditional data-gathering and report-building roles toward higher-value strategic consulting, scenario modeling, and intelligence systems design.
Core Competencies
- Systems Thinking: Ability to connect disparate macro, competitive, and customer signals into an integrated, actionable framework for corporate investment.
- Intellectual Courage: Willingness to provide unvarnished, objective truth and actively challenge internal assumptions, even when they run counter to the prevailing consensus.
- Collaborative Stewardship: High emotional intelligence (EQ) to champion a "One Intel" mindset, unifying siloed teams around common objectives and shared data assets.
- Strategic Marketing / Communication: Ability to translate complex, multidimensional data into clear, compelling executive narratives and market responses.
- Semiconductor and Systems Domain Expertise: Strong familiarity with compute platforms, data center architecture, client computing, edge AI, developer ecosystems, and hyperscale supply chains.
- Vendor Ecosystem Management: Experience managing multimillion-dollar research vendor budgets, negotiating data syndication agreements, and optimizing vendor ROI
- Strategic AI and Product Acumen: Demonstrated experience serving as the business or product owner for data and AI initiatives, including defining functional requirements for automated data ingestion, NLP/LLM workflows, predictive models, or advanced analytics platforms.
- Executive Presence and Influence: Proven ability to influence executive decisions through compelling analysis, strategic insight, and objective market perspectives. Demonstrated success challenging conventional thinking and driving alignment among senior leaders in highly matrixed organizations and executive leadership
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Exceptional ability to build communities of practice, align matrixed stakeholders across diverse business units, and drive cross-functional consensus without formal hierarchical authority.
- Independent Judgment: Demonstrated willingness to provide candid, fact -based perspectives that challenge prevailing assumptions and ensure decisions are grounded in market realities rather than organizational preferences.
- Modern AI Fluency: Deep understanding of current AI approaches, including agentic architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and automated synthesis.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in market intelligence, corporate strategy, strategic planning, or business analytics within high-tech, semiconductor, enterprise cloud -compute, or related ecosystems, including experience in technical marketing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Leadership Breadth: 7+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of leading organizational transformation, upskilling teams, and cultivating collaborative cultures.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree Master's degree, such as an MBA or an MS in Strategy, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
We're looking for a candidate who is passionate about unlocking the power of data to drive success. If you're ready to lead high impact analytics initiatives and shape the future of market intelligence at Intel, we encourage you to apply today.
